It's been a brutal day at the office for Wales who stay winless in the WXV1 after being thumped by the Black Ferns.

They go for one last time against Australia on Friday (06:00 BST) as they look to end what has been a tough campaign on a high.

Thanks for joining us this morning.

Don't forget to put your clocks back by an hour tonight, enjoy the extra sleep tomorrow and have a great weekend!

It's a pretty bleak picture for Wales so far.

The only saving grace, perhaps, is that they face Australia in their final game next week, with both sides looking for their first win of the campaign.

Ioan Cunningham speaking to ITV: "It was a tough loss. We are hurting quite badly but it is a steep learning curve and we are here to develop and hopefully close that gap.

"A week is a long time in sport and we've got a great opportunity to get back on the horse (against Australia).

"We've got to stay tight as a group and there were glimpses of positivity in the game that we can take into next week."

So Wales are rock bottom of WXV1 having lost both of their matches in the competition so far.

Fortunately for Ioan Cunningham's side, there is no relegation from the top tier of the competition this time out.

Regardless of their result against Australia next week, they will remain in WXV1.

    FT: New Zealand 70-7 Wales

Hannah Jones Speaking to ITV: "Tough day at the office but we are here to play at this level, it's a quick turnaround to Australia so we have to learn fast and put the wrongs right next week.

"You've got to keep the energy going, keep the belief, but there's not much to say really.

"We are at the top tier, we're here to play that type of rugby and we are only going to get better from this, our aim is the World Cup and this is part of the journey."

Wales will be really disappointed with this result, they are so outplayed by New Zealand today I think it's going to be a bit of a shock.

I'm really disappointed, the girls will almost feel a bit embarrassed with the score line, they've come a long way but we don't want that excuse you want to put in a performance.

You can't take away from the fact it is 70 points to seven.

Well read by the Black Ferns, it's a miscommunication in defence and as much as it is an easy try it is still heads up rugby you have to spot the gap, it looks effortless and easy but it is still really well done by the Black Ferns.

Heads up rugby just wins games.
