The Welsh defensive line is a lot quicker this half, Carys Williams-Morris seemed in between players and almost in no mans land where as now she is committing to whatever decision she is making.

Amy du Plessis had three players to beat but targeting in-between the two Welsh players meant she had a weak shoulder of both and managed to get over the try line.

Brilliant play by New Zealand but they didn't need to score then, Wales had enough in the defensive line to stop that.

Another outstanding cover tackle from Jasmine Joyce on the skipper Ruahei Demant.

    It's what she does.

It's such a shame we can't see her attacking prowess.

Jasmine Joyce is so impressive, it's her want and character that comes across in her play 'it's not over until it's over' mentality.

Gwenllian Pyrs with a fine steal on the halfway line to get Wales on the attack.

Wales go through the phases and gain some decent territory.

But Lleucu George's pass is intercepted by Ruahei Demant who looks destined to cross over for the try, but Jasmine Joyce comes to the rescue for Wales.

It's a sublime piece of defending from the winger who also wins the penalty. Incredible from Joyce.

The competition is currently on a free to air television deal until at least 2025, but it is not included in the group A list of sporting events which protects full live coverage.

The penalty count is really costing Wales and teams like New Zealand are going to keep building on that, they know that it is a weakness of Wales and will try to force the penalties as well.
