    Partick Thistle 0-0 Kilmarnock

The elusive opening goal does not look much closer to coming. Souleymane Coulibaly eyes up a chance, but sends a left foot shot straight into the arms of Partick Thistle goalkeeper Tomas Cerny.

  3. goal

GOAL Ross County 1-1 Inverness CTpublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Carl Tremarco

We're all square again in Dingwall.

A free-kick is flighted into the box, Gary Warren makes a nuisance of himself and Carl Tremarco buries a fantastic diving header past County keeper Scott Fox.

  4. CLOSE!published at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Kilmarnock

Florent Bojaj has Kilmarnock's best chance of the game, getting his toe to a cross just a yard out. However, he was always stretching and it agonisingly goes over the bar.

  5. Dundee on course for three pointspublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Dundee 3-0 St Johnstone

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Dens Park

Just as St Johnstone looked likely to get back into the game Dundee increase their lead thanks to a fair slice of fortune. O'Hara did well to win possession and play in Hateley and as Steven Anderson attempted to clear he diverted the ball beyond Clark in the Saints goal.

Chris Kane was introduced at the break and twice came close to pulling a goal back but the home side are now playing with a confidence that should enable them to see the game out.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Kilmarnock

Partick Thistle have now had two goals disallowed. Kris Doolan heads past Jamie MacDonald, but the assistant's flag cuts short the celebrations.

  7. United slip off the Championship summitpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

Hibernian now lead the Championship after defeat for Dundee United at Dumbarton.

  9. goal

GOAL Dundee 3-0 St Johnstonepublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Steven Anderson OG

Tom Hateley drives to the byline and fires the ball across goal towards Marcus Haber, but as Steven Anderson stretches to make the block he succeeds only in turning the ball into his own net.

  10. Hamilton Academical 1-1 Motherwellpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

Louis Moult scores in the final seconds as 10-man Motherwell come from behind to draw with Hamilton Accies in the Lanarkshire derby.

  11. Disastrous start for Caley Thistlepublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Ross County 1-0 Inverness CT

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Sport Scotland in Dingwall

Disaster for Inverness CT. Richie Foran conceded one or two of his side are short of confidence and that won't help.

The home side and crowd are really fired up now and it's all about hanging in for the coming spell for the visitors.

  12. goal

GOAL Ross County 1-0 Inverness CTpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Liam Boyce

    What a start for County.

A low corner is fizzed across the face of goal, Andrew Davies nods the ball back across goal and there is Liam Boyce to head home via the underside of the crossbar.

  13. Two-goal lead will please the Deespublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    HT: Dundee 2-0 St Johnstone

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Dens Park

The Dundee players will no doubt enjoy their half-time cup of tea as they hold a 2-0 lead over their rivals from Perth. Faissal el Bhaktaoui has struggled to make an impact since joining the club in the summer but playing in a slightly deeper role he is thriving when given the ball as he drives forward.

St Johnstone boss Tommy wright has options on the bench with Wotherspoon, Kane and Miller all capable of producing some magic but the only criticism can be their use of the ball into the box. Danny Swanson is being well marshalled by Cammy Kerr but MacLean, Davidson and Alston all look dangerous around the 18 yard box.

  14. Thistle frustrated so farpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    HT: Partick Thistle 0-0 Kilmarnock

    Alasdair Lamont
    BBC Sport Scotland

The home side have been the better team but haven't been able to make the breakthrough. Kris Doolan and Chris Erskine have been combining well and only a terrific Jamie MacDonald save and a last-ditch challenge on the rebound prevented each of them breaking the deadlock. Lee Clark will want his players to provide more of a threat in the second half.

No goals so far at Firhill. Chris Erskine almost put Thistle ahead but his effort was deflected wide.

  18. Derby day in the Highlandspublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

Ross County v Inverness CT (15:00)

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Sport Scotland in Dingwall

Great atmosphere building in Dingwall with the derby bragging rights at stake but perhaps more for the visitors who won't want to be detached at the bottom.

Every time you think County will pull away they seem to suffer a setback. Today could be pivotal for them.

A positive result takes them into 2017 in a comfortable position.

Every club raises their game against Celtic - but not good enough. Celtic could have won by another five goals had they taken their chances.

    Marge Muir, Glasgow

One of the worst Celtic performances this season - and still they win. Wow!
