  1. Gordon at fault?published at 76 mins

    Scotland 0-1 England

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Craig Gordon absolutely should have saved that. For me, it goes down as bad goalkeeping.

  2. Scotland 0-1 Englandpublished at 75 mins

England should be 2-0 up. Scott Brown is punished for a sloppy pass and a cross tees up Adam Lallana but the Liverpool midfielder's header is high and wide.

  3. Scotland 0-1 Englandpublished at 74 mins

    Richard Wilson
    BBC Scotland at Hampden

"The England fans are now urging Gordon Strachan to "cheer up". He will still believe his side can earn a point, but you wonder if that Oxlade-Chamberlain goal has knocked the last of the wind out of the Scotland players."

  4. England draw first bloodpublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 10 June 2017

    Scotland 0-1 England

Gareth Southgate's reshuffle pays instant dividends as substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain breaks the deadlock. The Arsenal winger skips past Scott Brown and angles his run across the box before his shot finds its way beyond Craig Gordon. Hampden, save for a pocket of England fans in the corner, is silent.

  6. Scotland 0-0 Englandpublished at 69 mins

    Richard Wilson
    BBC Scotland at Hampden

"The fresh legs of Ryan Fraser may restore some impetus to Scotland. The home side have been stronger all game on the left flank, so Fraser may also offer an alternative threat to England. Both sets of players looked drained at times, and tired minds can be careless. Nerve, now, as much as ability will be critical."

  7. Direct approach for Englandpublished at 68 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It comes from England being direct and putting the ball in the box. It's a great header from Kane but it's straight at Gordon.

  8. CLOSE!published at 67 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

Despite a largely toothless display in the second half, England continue to carry a sporadic threat. Harry Kane bullets a header at goal from Ryan Bertrand's sumptuous cross but Craig Gordon is equal to it.

  9. Changes for both sidespublished at 65 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

A change for both sides: Ryan Fraser is on for Robert Snodgrass, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaces England marksman Marcus Rashford.

  11. 'England too precise'published at 61 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

"It's not good enough from England, the use of the ball once when they get 25-30 yards from goal. They are trying to thread passes through. I think they need to mix it up a little bit. Very rarely to get the ball wide and whip it into the box and allow Kane to attack the ball. Everything goes through the middle; it's too precise. They are overplaying the game, in my opinion."

  12. Scotland 0-0 Englandpublished at 59 mins

Here come Scotland again. Stuart Armstrong, who appears to be growing in confidence, tries a curling effort from 20 yards but it's over.

Encouragement for the Tartan Army, who are creating an almighty din.

  13. Missed opportunitypublished at 58 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It was a perfectly weighted pass for Roberston and I felt he could have taken it first time. Instead he takes a touch and hits it over the bar.

  14. CLOSE!published at 57 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

    What. A. Chance.

Suddenly, Scottish tails are up. The hosts pin England back and, Andrew Robertson, thundering up from left-back, has the ball on the edge of the area and can see the whites of Joe Hart's eyes. However, his shot zips over the bar.

  15. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 53 mins

Scotland appeal for a penalty as Leigh Griffiths tumbles in the box under the close attention of Kyle Walker but the Italian referee Paolo Tagliavento is having none of it! Griffiths pounds the turf in frustration.

  16. 'The inevitable will happen'published at 53 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

"We've not been really resolute. They have found ways through us so the inevitable will happen. I'd rather we went up the pitch another 20 yards, got midfielders closer to Leigh Griffiths. When we get the ball we give it away like a hot potato."

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 52 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

Jake Livermore's shot is deflected onto the post before bouncing clear. Stuart Armstrong fluffs his lines with the clearance but England can't find a way past Craig Gordon.

How on earth is this game still goalless?

  18. Scotland 0-0 Englandpublished at 49 mins

Leigh Griffiths plays a "hospital pass" to Andrew Robertson with Marcus Rashford galloping towards the full-back. The defender recovers before a blazing look at the Scotland striker.

  19. Scotland 0-0 Englandpublished at 47 mins

Scotland zip the ball about with a confidence rarely seen in the opening 45 minutes. Stuart Armstrong and Andrew Robertson exchange passes before England see out the danger. Better, though, from Scotland.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:06 British Summer Time 10 June 2017

We're back under way. What price a Scotland goal?
