  1. Scotland changepublished at 18:04

James McArthur is on for James Morrison who never appeared happy after suffering that early knock in a challenge by Kyle Walker.

  2. 'Few Scots are showing belief'published at 18:00

    Scotland 0-0 England

    Richard Wilson
    BBC Scotland at Hampden

"The moments of optimism for Scotland diminished as the first-half wore on. England were mostly restricted to speculative efforts and Scotland were organised enough to hold a stable defensive line. The home side were unable to build passages of possession, though, too often losing the ball in midfield or on the right flank, where Anya and Snodgrass have toiled.

"Few Scotland players are showing the belief to carry the ball beyond the lines, so England have been able to adopt a sense of control. James Morrison looks to be struggling, so at least one change may be needed ta half-time. Scotland are still in the game, which gives the manager something to work with in a critical 15-minute spell inside the dressing room."

The manager's tactic is to keep England out so I don't see why he would change it just now. It's a five at the back and England haven't scored, so it's job done so far.

It's not time to give Ryan Fraser a chance. Get him on and let him run at England.

  10. HALF-TIME Scotland 0-0 Englandpublished at 17:47

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 43 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

Another England chance but Craig Gordon is equal to it. The visitors string together half a dozen passes before Jake Livermore thunders in a shot that Gordon does well to beat away. The back-tracking Leigh Griffiths doing just enough to force the early shot. Moments later, Livermore is booked for fouling Robert Snodgrass.

  12. CLOSE!published at 39 mins

    Scotland 0-0 England

It could and should be first blood to England. Harry Kane latches onto a long diagonal before sliding the ball into Adam Lallana in oceans of space. The Liverpool midfielder's fierce drive is deflected for a corner. Gareth Southgate's men continue to prove profligate.

  13. Scotland 0-0 Englandpublished at 35 mins

England's decision-making is coming back to haunt them. Scotland lose possession and Dele Alli is onto the ball in a flash. He waits, and waits, and waits before dinking a pass into Marcus Rashford but it's too late and too wide. Regardless, Scotland are awarded a free-kick for pushing in the box.

Scotland are crying out for some creativity and a decent out-ball...

  14. Scotland 0-0 Englandpublished at 33 mins

With England huffing and puffing in front of goal, the hosts have yet to seriously test Joe Hart. Striker Leigh Griffiths is feeding on scraps and has been starved of possession and support from team-mates...

Craig Gordon made the wrong decision and Tierney managed to clear. That's a big big chance for England and it all comes from bad decision-making from Gordon.

Harry Kane with the lob... headed off the line by Kieran Tierney with Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon a helpless observer after he'd rushed from his line to head clear a monster kick.

The ball breaks to Marcus Rashford... wide! England have a corner and the pressure is building.
