Hurleyyy:, external Would love to see Stepanek keep up this form and challenge Djokovic to a good four or five-set match.

Tom Heath:, external Love listening to Barry Davies commentate - such a great voice. Synonymous with Wimbledon and such a legend.

Nick Eaglesfield:, external Bernard Tomic vs Tomas Berdych - great little sporting spoonerism.

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

"It was really a classic champion's effort there from Novak Djokovic in that last game to break. He took advantage of Stepanek's indecision early on to get the break, then said: 'I'm not going to take a risk; I'll make the opponent come up with something special.'

Stepanek did that. Then Djokovic said: 'I'm going to step up a gear and not even let the guy touch the ball.'

It was hard fought, but in the end, Djokovic found away. There have been a lot of good things from Stepanek, but he's not a lot to show for it on the scoreboard."

Former British number one and perennial Wimbledon semi-finalist Tim Henman is going to be taking your questions on Twitter this afternoon.

You can bung whatever question you like to him on Twitter via #bbctennis.

Perhaps start with "just how hilarious do you find it when someone shouts 'C'mon Tim' at Andy Murray?".

  4. Djokovic takes first setpublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 25 June 2014

Radek Stepanek has had magic in his strings in the first set, but such is Novak Djokovic's quality that he has sucked up the best that the Czech can throw at him and stolen away the opener.

On such slender threads do SW19 survival dangle - men's 27 seed Roberto Bautista Agut is into the third round after a four-set set-to against Jan Hernych.

The seed dropped the second set and hit fewer winners (43 to 45) but stood up and was counted when it mattered - he converted 46% of break points that came his way, in contrast to Hernych's 20%.

And his Wimbledon adventure is still alive.

    Right, what is occurring elsewhere?

Ferrer 7-6 (7-5) 0-6 6-3 0-1 Kuznetsov: David Ferrer puts that second set hiccup behind him

A Barty/C Dellacqua 5-4 H Watson/ E Bouchard: Heather Watson and Eugenie Bouchard will need to break in the next game to save their first-set skins.

Good touch for a big man. Radek Stepanek draws appreciative oohhs and aahhs from the Centre Court crowd with velvet soft half-volley pick-up.

"You have to say that is magnificent."

Barry Davies, on BBC commentary duties, doesn't come over all World Cup 1986. But he must have been close.

Djokovic survives that sparkle of magic to hold though.

"Novak Djokovic has chosen to prepare in the same way that a certain Bjorn Borg did. Borg won Wimbledon five times in a row after not playing a tune-up event.

"Maybe Djokovic needed to get away and have a little break after losing in the French Open final to Rafa Nadal."

But this one is still in the air.

Radek Stepanek, Andy Murray's conqueror at Queen's last week, is bunging down plenty of service power.

Novak Djokovic made the finest-grade mincemeat with Andrey Golubev in the first round but he is not having it all his own way against Radek.

    Three apiece in the opener.

  12. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 25 June 2014

Novak Djokovic is ticking along nicely on Centre Court, the world number two and top seed looks comfortable on his serve and is starting to put the pressure on Radek Stepanek with some excellent returns.

    Iain Carter
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 live

"This match is confounding all logic. A break of serve apiece in the third. Currently 3-3 and a set each. Who knows which way this match is going to turn next?"

  14. GAME, SET AND MATCHpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 25 June 2014

It's job done for Italian Fabio Fognini as the 16th seed recovers from a set down to beat Tim Puetz 2-6 6-4 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 in two hours and 40 minutes.

German Puetz, playing in his first Wimbledon, took the first set and hit 19 aces to Fognini's seven. But the statistical key to the match looks to lie with the Italian's serve-and-volley technique.

Fognini won 68% of his net approaches while Puetz clocked up 46 unforced errors, a dozen more than his opponent.

  15. Djokovic v Stepanekpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 25 June 2014

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

"Novak Djokovic is getting more and more comfortable moving forward. He's become a better volleyer as his career has moved on. You would assume that the longer the rallies gone on, the more that suits Djokovic. Radek Stepanek's going to look to take the ball on early throughout this match."

  19. Coming uppublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 25 June 2014

Boris Becker, Novak Djokovic's coach, speaking to Garry Richardson on BBC One: "Novak has a great team around him, we're all trying to make him play better.

"I don't think, as coaches, we're here to tell Novak Djokovic or Roger Federer how to hit a forehand. They know how to do that. But every professional needs help. Stefan Edberg was an excellent player, and I like to think I know a thing or two about grass. But ultimately, it's about the player. As coaches, we're just a sideshow.

"I've filled a few roles at Wimbledon, including the commentary, which I miss, and it's nice to be able to talk to you here, but coaching is a great challenge. It's a pleasure to work with a guy like Djokovic.

"Radek Stepanek is accomplished grass court player. He beat Andy Murray at Queen's, and it will be a tough match."
