Former Great Britain Fed Cup coach Jason Goodall on BBC Two: "It's a bit of a shock when you are as good as Ferrer to be blown away 6-0 in the second set by a guy who is ranked 118. Can Kuznetsov keep this going for the next two to two-and-a-half hours? It is going to be difficult."

All over in the epic slugfest on court 17, with Jeremy Chardy prevailing over Marinko Matosevic. Double fist pumps in the air for the French former Australian Open quarter-finalist.

It took four hours and 15 minutes, five sets, and is by some distance the longest match of this Wimbledon so far.

Ultimately Matosevic will rue his ill-discipline. Despite striking a dozen more winners in the match, 70 unforced errors (17 more than Chardy) have done for him. No wonder his shoulders are slumped as he heads disconsolately for the showers.

"You don't get the chance to go on that court every day - so I wanted to make the most of it. I wanted to play the right shots and be compact. I faced a tough opponent, and I had to be really composed for the whole match.
