"Serena Williams is flowing now. She's feeling more confident with her groundstrokes and the serve is finding its mark."
Image source, PASerena Williams is already cranking out the fast serves - her quickest so far of 117mph/188.3kmph is the second fastest of the championships so far. However, Sabine Lisicki's 122mph/196.3kmph remains the fastest from a woman in the entire tournament thus far.
At 0-30 Hantuchova is wobbling badly. But Bouchard puts two service returns long, and Hantu has wriggled off the hook. 5-5 in the second, Bouchard a set up.
Here comes the moment of truth for Daniela Hantuchova - at 4-5 down in the second set, she is serving to stay in the championships.
It's all going to plan for Serena Williams out on Centre Court, the American hitting the lines and stretching Anna Tatishvili up and down the baseline. The five-time Wimbledon champion will be very keen not to tumble out of a Grand Slam early after her second-round defeat at the French Open last month.
Daniel Smethurst's first Wimbledon match ends in defeat to American ninth seed John Isner. Once again, Andy Murray is flying the flag alone for the British men.

Maria Sharapova examines Samantha Murray's game after beating the Briton 6-1 6-0. "I think she has a pretty aggressive game. I believe she enjoys playing on grass because she served and volleyed a couple of times, really went for her shots, stays quite low as well. Quite an unusual game, but I think she made a few more unforced errors than she would have liked, definitely."
Anna Tatishvili has not won a Grand Slam singles match since she received a career-best result at the 2012 US Open by reaching the fourth round. But after the promise of the first game, when she had four break points, the American's serve is broken.
Image source, AFPEugenie Bouchard with an instant break-back against Daniela Hantuchova, so we're level pegs at 3-3 in the second, Bouchers having trousered the first 7-5.
This could be curtains for plucky Brit Daniel Smethurt on Court 3. John Isner breaks serve in the seventh game of the third set to close in on victory. Smethurst looks bereft but he's given it his all against the ninth seed from the USA. Isner leads Smethurst 7-5 6-3 4-3.
Out on Court 16, Victoria Duval knocks out Sorana Cirstea, 29th seed, in three sets: 6-4 3-6 6-1.
Romanian Cirstea reached the third round of the French Open earlier in the year, but is out in the first here on grass.
On her debut, Miami-born world number 114 Duval makes it into the second round.
Serena Williams wins a marathon 10-minute first game on Centre Court. If we continue like this, we'll be here all night. Williams leads Anna Tatishvili 1-0.

"If you're Serena Williams, and you're coming into this tournament after the shock of a second-round exit at the French Open, you would think that Anna Tatishvili is the ideal opponent. Tatishvili is coming here without a lot of confidence and she's not very experienced on these big stages. The figures show that Serena has 79 match victories at Wimbledon, Tatishvili has two. And yet Tatishvili has come out here looking like she believes.
"Tatishvili has to be aggressive, and has to take her chances here. She has come out here to attack. She hits the ball hard, flat and low - and that's a tricky one to have to handle on the grass. She's had a couple of break points on a second serve, and she wants to put those into play. Serena has got to get used to her serve coming back. She's almost flat-footed after her service delivery."
Nine minutes in and we're still in the first game of this match between Serena Williams and Anna Tatishvili. The world 113 has had four break points but Williams has saved all four. Deuce again.

Going with serve in the early stages of the second set between Hantuchova and Bouchard in the last match on Court no.1, but now Hantu has a break point on her young opponent's serve - punishing forehand forcing Bouchard wide, and she can't keep her reply under control. 3-2 Hanchu, Bouchers a set up.
Image source, PADaniel Smethurst is hanging in there on his Wimbledon debut on Court Two against John Isner. He's two sets to love down but has just forced a break point on the Isner serve, only to have it snuffed out by a 132mph ace down the middle. Isner leads 7-5 6-3 2-2.
Women's top seed Serena Williams on BBC One: "It's never easy to win every game. You can look at pressure as a privilege or as a burden. The last victory in 2012 is definitely the most memorable of my Wimbledon titles. Desire is not something you can buy. I was born with it. It grew as a small fire and is now an amazing flame that is almost impossible to put out. I'm really excited."
A shadow is appearing on Centre Court as Serena Williams and Anna Tatishvili bat the ball back and forth in the warm up. There's been a crowd exodus as fans head out to stretch their legs after watching Rafael Nadal win in four sets. But this is Serena, so they'll be back.
