    *Murray 6-4 6-2 2-3 Wawrinka

Warwinka looks like he'll take a much needed straightforward hold but Murray nibbles back to 30-15. Stan nails a volley at the net though and wraps it up - the crowd are getting behind the Swiss right now, probably hoping for a bit more semi-finals tennis for their euro.

Paul Staveley: When Murray keeps his head in check and believes he is the better player, there's nobody in tennis who can beat him.

There has been fewer "come on, you turnip" comments from Murray in this match. Which, in a way, is a shame.

    Murray 6-4 6-2 2-2 Wawrinka*

Murray can sit back and have a bourbon biscuit on his serve, as Wawrinka shanks one into the net.

A forehand deep into the corner has Stan scrambling, the Swiss makes it to the volley return but slams another one into the net. Murray takes a simple hold.

    *Murray 6-4 6-2 1-2 Wawrinka

Wawrinka resembles a bumble bee in his fluroscent yellow shirt and black shorts - but he's not got the sting.

Tame shots give Murray a 0-30 lead, but Stan fights back and levels up with a super soft-handed forehand volley at the net.

A baseline duel ensues and Murray outhumps the Swiss for break point. Stan affords himself a fist pump as Murray can't return a serve down the middle and he quickly wins advantage by stepping off the line and caressing a backhand to the corner before wrapping up the hold.

Amanda Price: I think this is best I've seen Murray play! So exciting!

Cathy Howard: The weather might be cold but @andy_murray's playing is hot, hot hot!!

    Murray 6-4 6-2 1-1 Wawrinka*

A regulation forehand skips wide from Wawrinka, who holds his hands out in frustration.

Murray aces. Murray aces again. Stan returns long. That's the game.

    Djokovic 6-2 6-1 5-3 Theim

After obliterating the first two sets, Novak Djokovic found himself 3-0 down in the third against Dominic Thiem.

But the world number one is doing what world number ones do best - seeing the match out.

Djokovic now leads 5-3 in the third and is one game away from the final.

    *Murray 6-4 6-2 0-1 Wawrinka

Murray is connecting all the dots at the moment and it's coming together to make a pretty picture.

Stan becomes Grimace McGhee as he scrunches his face up from another dropped point on his serve.

The Swiss slows it down a bit though and comes into the net for a forehand that Murray can't return and goes 40-15 up. A Murray return into the net gives Stan the hold.

Len Morrison: Murray bullied Gasquet into submission and he's doing the same to Wawrinka. World-class match play

Sam Jamaa: Presuming Murray can win this match, if he plays like this in the final, we will have something very, very special

"Andy's done the basics well. He's served well but Wawrinka is just poking the ball back - sometimes in, sometimes out - but with no aggression. On the returns, that's where Andy's done his damage."

    Murray 6-4 6-2 Wawrinka*

So, the fightback has to start somewhere as Wawrinka chops a forehand for a crosscourt winner.

It seems short lived though as Murray goes 30-15 - Wawrinka measuring a passing forehand all wrong.

Oh dear, Stan looks like his head is elsewhere as he miscues a return and Murray quickly finishes off the set with a serve right at the feet of the Swiss.

Murray is a set away from his first French Open final.

David Watson: Watching text updates in work not ideal, although I'm still on the edge of my seat hoping Andy can see this through.

Anis: Murray's shot selection so far has been almost perfect! No hesitation and some seriously clean hitting!!

Adam Pake: This is just a masterclass now.

Neil Leverett: Superb from @andy_murray. Best I've seen him play on clay, perhaps any slam.

    *Murray 6-4 5-2 Wawrinka

A crisp Wawrinka forehand gives him just his fifth winner of this set and he rattles off the game to 15. Boy, did he need that.

Now, just a couple of breaks required.

    Murray 6-4 5-1 Wawrinka*

Hard to find a way back now for Wawrinka, who has won the last three meetings between the pair remember. But hey, I could be eating my words later.

Wawrinka hits a frustrated looking forehand return long to hand Murray an easy hold to love.

    *Murray 6-4 4-1 Wawrinka

It's messy and scrappy from Wawrinka now, as he puts a backhand into the net for 30-30.

That zip and zoom on his baseline shots has crumbled to dust and Murray commands the next point with a backhand winner.

That's more like it from the Swiss though, as he slices a forehand winner to Murray's backhand corner. A pickup volley at the net doesn't make it across though for Stan.

Advantage for Murray and he crushes a winner past the defending champion.

    Two breaks, too easy.

    Murray 6-4 3-1 Wawrinka*

Stan needs a shift in momentum and he needs it sharpish.

Remember that shot that clipped the net and went over earlier? His luck has definitely changed as one drops the wrong side for the Swiss.

Just when he thinks he's finding his groove again in a slick rally, Wawrinka puts a backhand wide.

Backhand down the line from Murray hits the sweetest of sweet spots. But Stan's got tricks up his sleeve too and returns down the line. Here's another trick - he hits one right off the top of the net and out of play to lose the game.
