"Getting the first set in the semi-final is crucial. Wawrinka isn't doing enough on his serve. At 0-40 he looked really demoralised so he's got a lot of work to do. This is where Andy has to focus and serve as well as he has been doing."

    *Murray 6-4 2-1 Wawrinka

Murray is plain sailing in a £10m yacht with an on-board chef right now. Three quick points on the Wawrinka serve for three break points.

And Stan drops one into the net. Murray a break up in the second without having to produce a sweat.

    Murray 6-4 1-1 Wawrinka*

Remarkable chase-down tennis from both men - but Murray has a bit more of the greyhound about him to get to a drop shot and win the opening point.

Oh and what a delicate backhand drop shot for 30-0 - it looked for the world it was going to be a slice.

Murray's variety has Wawrinka in a daze - but there's a let off as Andy double faults. It's brief, as Wawrinka goes wide.

Mikey Morris: Another Murray-Djokovic grand slam final on the cards. I think we'll see another 10 before one of them retires.

    Djokovic 6-2 6-1 Thiem

If there was ever an example of one-way traffic, it's happening in the other semi-final on Suzanne-Lenglen Court.

World number one Novak Djokovic has wrapped up the second set against Dominic Thiem in 28 minutes.

He now leads 6-2 6-1 and looks to be cruising into his fourth French Open final.

    *Murray 6-4 0-1 Wawrinka

    Can Stan respond?

He's got a bright yellow jersey on, reminiscent of the Tour de France, and he's got an uphill struggle now.

Murray goes for a blockbuster backhand return to go 40-15 down - a rare error on the return for the world number two.

Wawrinka holds with a serve down the middle that Murray can barely get a racquet to.

"For me that was about the returns. That's the difference. Murray is constantly putting pressure on Stan who pushed hard, a little too hard. These returns are sitting in the middle of the court and once he gets into the rally he's dominant but Murray has done some fantastic retrieving and has just hung on. That's what wins the big games."

    Murray 6-4 Wawrinka*

Chance for Murray at the net, but the volley doesn't go over. Break point to the Swiss.

Murray recovers once more and swings it back into a set point.

He wins it, as Wawrinka returns long, and Murray leads the defending champion by a set.

    Murray 5-4 Wawrinka*

Stan moving Murray this way and that and he puts the Brit out of his misery with a backhand for advantage.

But deuce again as Wawrinka returns long. Murray lets out a roar.

Oh, put some gravy on this rally and hand me a fork - so tasty. Baseline to baseline and Stan seals it with an inside-out forehand.

And it's deuce again as Stan goes high and long.

Dan Culyer: As big a fan as I am of Andy's I'll still happily admit that Wawrinka's backhand is a thing of beauty. Elegant as you like.

It is a little bit minty, isn't it?

    Murray 5-4 Wawrinka*

Not a great start as Murray goes just wide on the forehand.

We get a shot of Leo Di Caprio in the stands - wearing a flat cap like a boss.

Stan is bamboozled by a Murray mis-hit and fluffs the point for 15-all.

Wawrinka returns into the net for 30-15.

He hits a wicked backhand that's so good, the camera cuts away for the end of the point - but Murray somehow gets it back only to be finally finished off.

And Stan gets it to deuce...

Andrew Neill: Andy's done phenomenally well to get the early break here. He can't have lapses though or Stan will punish him without remorse.

    *Murray 5-4 Wawrinka

Urgh, ugly, hideous shot from Wawrinka, as his body shape is all wrong for a volley that he drags wide. He could do with a bit of luck right now - and he gets it as a drop shot hits the cord and falls Murray's side of the court.

It helps him wrap up the hold. Murray to serve for the set...

"The pattern we're seeing is Andy getting free points on his serve, which relieves pressure and makes life easier for him."

    Murray 5-3 Wawrinka*

Andy is still miffed with the overhead camera, peering down on him like a distracting buzzard. He's complaining to the umpire about its presence.

No problem, as Murray races to 40-0. Stan shouts something a bit sweary as he goes wide and then goes long.

    Probably Murray's most straightforward hold.

Charlene Beedie: Djokovic playing well then I hear?! Watching the Wawrinka Murray match. Come on Novak. Come on Andy.

Dennis Ethan: Stan is the only hope of stopping Djokovic so Allez Wawrinka!

Jenna Rothwell: Cancelled my wedding dress appointment as I am an avid fan! Come on @andy_murray.

    That's commitment, Jenna.

    *Murray 4-3 Wawrinka

Wayward Stan, wayward. He comes in for a forehand volley but slaps it wide to go 0-30 down.

Not to be deterred, he marches in once more and finishes an overhead volley.

Murray thinks he has control of the next point with a great backhand return, but Stan pulls out a thundercracker backhand and converts the volley.

Murray has two pops at a break point but lets both go. Wawrinka volleys for advantage and then wins a net battle to hold one that almost slipped away from him.

They started slightly earlier in the other semi-final over on Suzanne-Lenglen Court and they are rattling through the games.

    Murray 4-2 Wawrinka*

Murray's second serve is so useful these days. He puts a few more rotations on this one to deceive Wawrinka and go 30-0 up.

A backhand at the net puts him on course for a love hold, until the Brit puts one into the net, but quickly puts the game away.
