As well as Evans, there's another Brit in action today.

He's called Sir Andy Murray. The tennis buffs among you may have heard of him.

The world number one takes on Andrey Rublev, the 19-year-old Russian, ranked 152nd in the world, on Rod Laver.

Murray will be up after Samantha Crawford v Garbiñe Muguruza, which starts at 08:00 GMT. So be prepared for a 9.30-ish GMT start for the knight of the realm.

British number three Dan Evans will be kicking his heels waiting to get his second-round match against Marin Cilic under way.

Seventh seed Cilic was a US Open champion in 2014 and the Croat will be a huge favourite.

That match will happen when we have a result from Carla Surez Navarro v Sorana Cirstea - Cirstea is a set up and a break up in the second.

So we could see the plucky Brummie very soon.

As you can tell from the familiar picture below of Roger Federer with his arms held aloft, R Fed is through to the third round.

The four-time Aussie Open winner held off the challenge of American prospect Noah Rubin.

The 35-year-old Swiss, who is seeded 17th after missing the second half of the 2016 season with a knee injury, saved two set points in the third to win 7-5 6-3 7-6 (7-3).

Federer will play 2010 Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych next.
