Rafa is completely in control, looking great and playing great.

"I think it depends on what point we reach with the ITF, I've spoken to a few people who are close to him and are saying that's not the case, he'll have a press conference today and there's an opportunity to clarify the situation.
"We've supported him very well with the appeal case and I would wait to see what clarification comes out of it.
"As a player of course you want to the play at the Olympics that's why we want to help and get him available for selection as those players already in the team are."
*Haase 1-6 Nadal
Haase slams a shot into the net and that's the first set in 26 minutes. The big man looking ominously strong.
*Haase 1-5 Nadal
Robin Haase almost hits the umpire with a sliced return as Rafa Nadal pumps another serve into his body. So hard to read, to deal with. Two set points.
*Haase 1-5 Nadal
And just like that, Nadal is serving for the first set.
Haase 1-4 Nadal*
This is the third meeting of the two players by the way. Nadal leads 2-0.
Haase 1-4 Nadal*
Robin Haase is getting over 80% of his first serves in, and still barely winning a point. That's a fine smash though to make it 15-15.
Haase 1-4 Nadal*
Rafa Nadal wins that game in about 90 seconds, brutal hitting to hold to love.
Djokovic 6-1 6-4 6-3 Sousa
Meanwhile, over on Suzanne Lenglen Court defending champion Novak Djokovic has seen off the challenge of Joao Sousa to win in straight sets.
The Serb second seed, watched by new coach Andre Agassi, faces Diego Schwartzman in the third round.
*Haase 1-3 Nadal
Robin Haase has got to try something, but I'm not sure that a serve-volley approach on clay is the answer. That's nice though! Not sure how to describe that, a sliced drop shot from the Dutchman that foxes Nadal all ends up. And that's a game on the board. First step.
Haase 0-3 Nadal*
This first set could be over before you know it. Three-nil to Nadal with some very efficient tennis. If his knees don't fall off he could take some beating once more.
*Haase 0-2 Nadal

"It shows how clinical Rafa is with that forehand, he knows the geometry of the court so well but he also knows the geometry of when to play the shot so well."
*Haase 0-2 Nadal
It's Rafa Nadal's 31st birthday this Saturday. Any gift ideas for the great man?
It must be a nightmare to buy someone like him a present.
*Haase 0-2 Nadal
Rafa Nadal takes the second break point on display though, forcing Robin Haase into an error which he pushes wide.
Haase 0-1 Nadal*

Haase is a big server and has a big forehand but he's a shot-maker and can sometimes miss shots by several feet.
He is a good defensive player and he likes the squash-style shot to reach some tough pick-ups at full stretch.
He looks solid on the backhand but has this flamboyant forehand.
Haase 0-1 Nadal*
Nadal thinks he's got the early break but he's left looking at the skies and cursing as the umpire calls it long.
Robin Haase then keeps him on his toes with some lengthy forehands and gains an advantage, only to duff a double fault into the net. Deuce.

"Nadal knows that potentially this is a match he can get through quickly, and set himself up well for the third round.
Haase 0-1 Nadal*
Robin Haase, of the Netherlands, has already caught the eye with a few unorthodox shots. He gets tied up in a knot by Nadal's pressure and hooks an inside-out forehand just wide. 30-30.

"Difficult match up for Haase with the form that Nadal has been in, the conditions won't help him much this afternoon."
