    The 12th seeds came out on top in a third-set tie-break against Australia's Matthew Ebden and Canada's Vasek Pospisil to win the match in straight sets.

    Three of the women's top 10 seeds have already been knocked out before the end of the third round.

    World number one and top seed Ashleigh Barty remains and is Pliskova's biggest threat to the title.

    US Open and Australian Open champion Naomi Osaka was dumped out in the first round, losing 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 to Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan.

    Yesterday, defending champion Angelique Kerber was stunned by world number 95 Lauren Davis and 10th seed Aryna Sabalenka lost in straight sets to Slovak Magdalena Rybarikova.

    Two-time champion Petra Kvitova is still in the draw and former world number one Simona Halep takes on Victoria Azarenka on Centre Court later today.
