Great volleying from Coco Gauff at the net results in the Anglo-American pair holding.

*Evans 3-2 Sousa
Joao Sousa, having take an ice age to hold a moment ago, looks like he's about to do so in heartbeat - but Dan Evans never gives up, keeping the ball alive to make the Portuguese work before he closes out with a fiery forehand.
Evans has asked for some paracetamol. Tells the doctor he's got a bit of a headache.
*Federer 5-5 Pouille
Boris Becker
Three-time Wimbledon champion on BBC TV
Pouille is winning his service games as quickly as Federer is winning his.
He hasn't really been tested yet - Federer has to up the tempo a little bit.
*Federer 5-5 Pouille
Fed accidentally hits an errant serve at a ball-boy - and smacks him straight on the head. The crowd applaud - for Federer's apology rather than the actual incident... but they love him so much they would probably still cheer him if he did that on purpose after every point.
Back on court and Fed still cannot get to grips with Pouille's serve.
"Federer hasn't found his timing with his backhand return yet," says Boris Becker. "Maybe he should stand off him and just chip it back?"

Rae: A lot to admire about Evans' game, Sousa is embarrassingly one dimensional and desperate to get on to the forehand.
Lindstedt/Ostapenko 6-1 3-2 Gauff/Clarke*
When Robert Lindstedt was born The Manhattan Transfer were number one with Chanson D'Amour?!
Yup! Us too!
When Coco Gauff was born, Britney Spears was number one with Toxic.
Evans 3-1 Sousa*
Dan Evans pauses as spectators scuttle back into Court One to fill their seats. The Brit wrong-foots Joao Sousa with a disguised forehand. All in the eyes... and races to a hold.
Federer 5-4 *Pouille
Boris Becker
Three-time Wimbledon champion on BBC TV
One of the things Nadal and Djokovic do against Federer is slow the pace down a bit.
It makes him think a little bit more.
*Lindstedt/Ostapenko 6-1 2-2 Gauff/Clarke
Gauff holds with a booming serve that is too good for Ostapenko.
She faced break point in that game and managed to escape... now we're sure she's done that before...
*Evans 2-1 Sousa
Finally, after a marathon game, Joao Sousa holds.
Federer 5-4 *Pouille
Fed has had to work a bit harder on his own serve of late, and again Pouille picks up a couple of points from unforced errors. The pressure is on him now, though, because he has to hold to stay in the set.
Lindstedt/Ostapenko 6-1 2-1 Gauff/Clarke*
Have Coco Gauff's parents decided to take the Saturday off to see what the delights of Southfields has to offer?
Have they heck!
Corey and Candi are here watching.
Southfields can wait.
Evans 2-0 Sousa*
Well, sooner or later Dan Evans is going to take one of these breaks. A third shot in this game at a double break lead for the Brit. Punchy serve from Joao Sousa to save once again.
But then he thrashes a forehand into the net. Break point four for Evans.
*Federer 4-4 Pouille
Fed can't find his range with his backhand off the Pouille serve and is quickly 30-0 down. The crowd laugh when a bird lands on court between points - I've never known why that is so hilarious?
Back to the tennis and Pouille is showing why he was a top 10 player at the start of the year. He takes advantage of a couple more ropey Federer backhands (not a sentence you see too often) and we are still on serve.
Evans 2-0 Sousa*
Joao Sousa saves the break point but is really struggling to serve this one out.
Dan Evans screeches across court and flings a backhand down the line. Sousa challenges, and nails it... that's out.
Deuce number six.
Lindstedt/Ostapenko 6-1 2-1 Gauff/Clarke*
Obviously a lot of the focus has been on Coco Gauff, and Jay Clarke, here on court two but it's actually Jelena Ostapenko who is playing like the headline act.
She produces a brilliant serve that baffles Clarke.
Gauff to serve next.

Evans 2-0 Sousa*
Good recovery from Joao Sousa but the Portuguese can't close out and we're back to deuce.
Sousa comes rushing to the net but Dan Evans picks him off with a sweeping, passing forehand winner. Another break point chance.
*Lindstedt/Ostapenko 6-1 1-1 Gauff/Clarke
Jay Clarke and Coco Gauff hold as Clarke produces a big serve at the right time.
Federer 4-3 *Pouille
Hang on, this wasn't in the script... after a couple of limp shots from the back of the court, Fed shanks another backhand wide and we've got a break point for Pouille at 30-40.
This is a chance. He can't take it though - his feet don't move quickly enough for him to dig the ball out on the baseline in the next rally and two quick points later Fed has held and the Frenchman's opportunity has gone knocking. Will he get another one?
