I think Moutet will win plenty of titles. For sure he'll make the top 20, but he might be a top 20 player that has a couple of good weeks.

So, scoreboard pressure back on Evans. A drive volley, of sorts, puts the 23rd seed 30-15 in front and he ramps up the aggression further on the next point.

With Moutet pinned back almost as far as the ball person, Evans sticks away a smash and cleans up the hold.

It's tough to tell what will happen next. They are both playing well, but it seems Evans is distracted by his leg more than it's actually hindering him.

The Frenchman earns a break point with some fleet of foot to force Evans long with a volley.

But Evans dances the fandango to swipe it back with a 91mph forehand winner... deuce.

So far so good as he moves 30-0 in front before Moutet shows his quality with a double-handed backhand lob.

Then Evans sticks a forehand long - so way long, actually, it was almost by the ball person's feet - for 30-30. Edgy...

That's my favourite point of match so far. Evans was so sharp with his movement.

Evans puts that behind him quickly and nabs the break back. A great point to clinch it too as the British number one shows great skill and athleticism to put away a stretching backhand volley.

Blimey, didn't realise Evans had thrown in that many double faults.

I wouldn't say the serve-clock has been... say harsh... but both of these players are quite fast. They keep going down to the final five seconds on their serves.

American 2017 champ Sloane Stephens - seeded 26th this year - has cruised through to round three with a 6-2 6-2 win over Olga Govortsova of Belarus.

The 27-year-old could play Serena Williams next. That would be a cracker.

Compatriot Madison Keys, who Stephens defeated in the final three years ago, will play France's Alize Cornet after defeating Spain's Aliona Bolsova 6-2 6-1 out on Court 17.
