    Nadal 6-3 6-3 5-2 Norrie*

Rafa seems to be getting stronger, somehow.

He unleashes a couple of vicious cross-court forehands - Norrie gets one back but can only put the second into the net.

Nadal is long with his return the point after but then passes the Brit down the line with a backhand - 15-30.

Can Cam Norrie at least make Rafa serve it out? Let's see...

    Nadal 6-3 6-3 5-2 Norrie

It must be so demoralising playing Rafael Nadal.

Cam Norrie plays a deep forehand and then a lovely volley from Nadal's retort but the Spaniard comes in to drill a forehand down the line.

The next point follows a similar pattern, Norrie competing only for Nadal to whip home a winning forehand.

One game away from the fourth round, now.

You’ve got to give Norrie credit here - he’s still pumped up after every point he wins.

But Rafa Nadal does what Rafa Nadal does.

Opens up his body with a ferocious forehand.

Cameron Norrie then misses a forehand of his own and it's back to 30-30.

I thought this was over - but is it?

Rafa hits the opening point wide on his serve, then a lovely backhand return from Cam Norrie and it's 0-30...

  7. Swiatek through to fourth roundpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 5 June 2021

    Kontaveit 6-7 (4-7) 0-6 Swiatek

Defending champion Iga Swiatek is through to the fourth round.

She made a wobbly start against Estonian 30th seed Anett Kontaveit by dropping her opening service game but after winning a first-set tie-break she did not drop another game.

The Pole has dropped only 13 games in three rounds so far and with the top seeds dropping away fast (only three of the top 10 remain) her title defence remains very much on track.

    Nadal 6-3 6-3 4-2 Norrie

The pair share a couple of points at deuce and Norrie pounds down a fantastic serve right on the centre line before Nadal nets the next point.

Fair play to Norrie. He's still giving this his all.

    *Nadal 6-3 6-3 4-1 Norrie

An ill-advised serve-volley attempt goes into the net and it's another break point for Nadal.

But Cam Norrie saves it, dominating the next point from the net.

    Nadal 6-3 6-3 4-1 Norrie*

Cameron Norrie has lost a bit of that zip now, inevitability has sunk in.

He's relying a bit on Nadal errors. Both men have hit the net here but then Norrie produces a nice forehand winner at the net for 30-15.

That's more like it. But he's wide with the next. 30-30.

    Nadal 6-3 6-3 4-1 Norrie

Cameron Norrie had a sniff in that game, getting back to 40-30 after an errant Nadal forehand down the line.

But the 13-time French Open champ pulls out a glorious serve that the Brit cannot get back, try as he might.

  12. Nadal 'on a mission'published at 16:46 British Summer Time 5 June 2021

    Laura Robson
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Nadal is just too good. To accelerate like that on the run - only Rafa has the ability to do that with that lefty spin he gets. He's on a mission at the moment and is properly striding between the points.

    *Nadal 6-3 6-3 3-1 Norrie

We've gone back in time to the opening set here with Rafael Nadal completely dominant on serve.

Cameron Norrie is picking up the odd point but Nadal is punishing anything even slightly short, as he did just with a vicious backhand. 40-15.

  14. What a shot!published at 16:42 British Summer Time 5 June 2021

    Nadal 6-3 6-3 3-1 Norrie

    Unbelievable from Nadal.

At 15-40 down, Cameron Norrie directs a well-struck shot into the corner that most players would struggle to reach.

Rafa not only reaches it but dispatches a blistering cross-court forehand past Norrie into the far corner. Unstoppable.

    Nadal 6-3 6-3 2-1 Norrie*

Cameron Norrie is beginning to run out of answers now. 0-30 down.

Oh but then he pulls out an ace. Needs more of them. The more points you win quickly against Nadal the better.

  16. Swiatek serving for matchpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 5 June 2021

    Kontaveit 6-7 (4-7) 0-5 Swiatek*

Surely it's only five minutes since Swiatek was in that tie-break?! Ok, it's 20 but she is already 5-0 up in the second. After a 55-minute first set, she's not wasting any more time.

She's now serving for her place in the last 16.

  17. Halep back on court with Wimbledon loomingpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 5 June 2021

Some encouraging signs for Romanian world number three Simona Halep as she aims to be fit to defend her Wimbledon title.

The 2019 champion - the tournament at the All England Club was, of course, cancelled last year - had to pull out of the French Open with a calf injury.

That led to concerns she may not make Wimbledon, but today she posted a video of her whacking a few balls for the first time since she suffered the injury at Rome last month.

Injuries have been a big theme of the French Open, both leading into the tournament and during it.

Stan Wawrinka is one of the big names missing and he will also be absent from Wimbledon - read more on that here.

There's better news for one of the top stars of the women's game though...

After that early second-set wobble, Rafael Nadal has regained control of his serve.

Cameron Norrie barely gets a look in as Nadal holds to love.

And he achieves it with a lovely backhand volley at the net.

An important game given the Brit had lost six straight from 3-1 up in the second set.
