    Sporting highlight of the day?

    I think so.

The United States avenge defeat in Sochi four years ago by beating Canada to win women's ice hockey gold following a dramatic shootout at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

    Elise Christie update

    Sarah Lindsay
Three-time Olympic short track speed skater on BBC TV

Elise Christie wants to win that medal, not just for her, but so the sport can continue to be funded in the UK, and that's a lot of extra pressure on her.

Sweden have silver, France bronze. Germany's expected challenge crumbled at the shooting range.

  13. 'It was one of their best starts all week' - Howiepublished at 12:24 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

    Men's curling: GB 5-9 Switzerland

    Rhona Howie
Olympic gold medallist curler on BBC TV

It was one of their best starts of the whole week, but Switzerland just seemed to step it up in the second half. GB played solid, clinical curling, but it was just one or two shots that made the difference today.

Kyle Smith tried to play the guard, and said to them 'you have your two', but the guard over-curled by two milimetres probably, but if it hadn't it would have worked well.

Kyle had to guard GB's two stones in the house, but because it was light, they couldn't sweep it so it over-curled. But even just after he made the shot, GB were happy with it, because it was such a small gap for Schwarz to get it through - it was a stone-wide gap.

Schwarz's shot had to be perfect - he played the line, the weight - what a shot.

  15. 'I was enjoying it so much'published at 12:22 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

    Indeed. Here she is:

    On winning gold:

"I really can't believe it. It's incredible that it just happened today. I was just enjoying the final at first and I think that's why I won the gold, because I was enjoying it so much. This gold is here because of my teammates. Because if they weren't here I never was standing here. I really, really, really want to thank them all on the team."
