GB alpine skiier Dave Ryding on Instagram: "Ninth place today... Those five rings ramped the nerves up somewhat... I didn't feel like I got my best skiing out but at the same time many people were the same... I am proud of representing Great Britain and gave it my best shot! Happy with my showing! It was one of their best starts of the whole week, but Switzerland just seemed to step it up in the second half. GB played solid, clinical curling, but it was just one or two shots that made the difference today.
Kyle Smith tried to play the guard, and said to them 'you have your two', but the guard over-curled by two milimetres probably, but if it hadn't it would have worked well.
Kyle had to guard GB's two stones in the house, but because it was light, they couldn't sweep it so it over-curled. But even just after he made the shot, GB were happy with it, because it was such a small gap for Schwarz to get it through - it was a stone-wide gap.
Schwarz's shot had to be perfect - he played the line, the weight - what a shot.

It could have been GB but it isn't.
In the men's two semi-finals the scores are currently Canada 2-2 USA and Sweden 6-2 Switzerland.
