    A goal late in the second period from Andres Ambuhl has given the Swiss a sliver of hope.

    But it would take a miracle on ice to see them overturn the lead of one of the tournament favourites.

    Germany looked out of it, but in the finishing straight their anchor Victoria Carl found another wind from somewhere to come round the outside to beat Sweden's individual sprint champion Jonna Sundling in a race for the line.

    A surprise gold. And Germany's 10th of the Games so far.

    "We know one fact we're playing Canada [In final round robin match] so we know if we have to play them again [In the semi-final] we can learn from the morning I guess. So we'll go into the day prepared to play two games regardless. If it's Canada twice then bring it on."

    I spotted this video of James Clugnet's parents, brother and nephew on social media earlier, so had to ask him about it.

    He told me he almost didn't want to watch it in case it was embarrassing, but is very glad he did - he loved it! He was even singing 'go, Jimmy go!' as he skied.
