    Men’s freeski halfpipe final

Ouch. That's a big fall for Gus Kenworthy.

The GB athlete smashes into the top of the halfpipe on his first trick and comes crashing down.

The medic races down to check if he's OK - but somehow Kenworthy shakes it off and insists on finishing off his run.

Unbelievable! Fingers crossed he'll be fine to take a third shot at it...

2014 Olympic bronze medallist snowboarder on BBC TV

Gus Kenworthy really does want to represent Team GB and he wants ton honour his mum, I think that is really driving him.

As an athlete, he will be focusing purely on his skiing. I would be surprised if any of that [switching from Team USA to Team GB] will be on his mind.

He has made it into this final and he wants to show what he can do, and show he is a contender for those medals.

They are all getting their first taste of this breeze and you can see it’s shocking them.

They’re laughing about it when they get down but there is a lot at stake here.

  6. Porteous sets the standardpublished at 01:57 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Men's freeski halfpipe final

The 2018 bronze medallist, New Zealand's Nico Porteous, makes a massive statement with his first run.

The 20-year-old delivers a brilliant 93.00 to light up the men's halfpipe final.

American Aaron Blunck can't get near that and that brings an end to the first round. This is shaping up to be some competition...

A huge run for the Olympic champion.

Once again David Wise stamps his mark on this Olympic final.

Despite the conditions, David Wise delivers.

    Men’s freeski halfpipe final

We have a new leader in the men's freeski halfpipe final!

It's a huge run by two-time defending champion David Wise of the United States.

The tough conditions do not faze him one bit. A 90.75 puts him well clear of compatriot Alex Ferreira!

    Four-man bobsleigh

We asked the GB four-man bobsleigh team for three words to describe what they each bring to the team…

    Greg: “Speed, content and hats”

Taylor: “Organisation, morale and chef-ing” … you can read more about that last one here.

Nick: “Fat, slow, illiterate.” – until the others jumped in with “perseverance, obedience” and he added “long-distance driving”

Brad - In his own words: particular, focused, strong; in his team-mates’ words: “pedantic, lazy, grey hair”.

The wind is causing headaches for the athletes so far.

New Zealand's Miguel Porteous tops the standings with a score of 63.50, so this remains wide-open.

Canada's Simon D Artois is the latest to suffer a fall. It's looking tough out there!

    Four-man bobsleigh

    Sir Matthew Pinsent
Four-time Olympic rowing champion on BBC TV

I think Great Britain need a result.

The sliding track hasn’t been the kindest to the British sliders, whether that’s luge or skeleton, or the smaller bobs.

But now it’s the chance for the four-man, the biggest of the lot, to get underway.

Lots to look forward to and plenty of fingers and toes crossed.

    Gus Kenworthy’s chances are underrated.

I think he has a lot more to give in this final than in his qualifying run.

A lot of people don’t know what he is capable of. We’ve seen it at the X Games, he does some really big tricks so I think we might see some of those tricks today.

It's best of three runs though so plenty of time to make amends.

Great height from Gus Kenworthy, but he just falls short coming out of a double cork 1080.

An otherwise promising opener from the GB skier though. Hopefully he can make that stick on his second run.
