Help! Wonderful (winning) Wednesday is stopping me from doing the housework! I've loved the action today! Well done Team GB! I've cried happy tears a lot today!!

Mallory got the second fastest raw time and then then she had her penalties after that. My thought is that she got her penalties out of the way on that run.

She’ll go back and look at those, and I feel really confident. She looked comfortable and controlled and there were touches that were a bit unnecessary but she will go back and iron those out.

She’s got so much experience, I feel quite positive.

Anyone else completely hooked on the tennis?

First of all, we've got the incredible story of Andy Murray and his ability to keep prelonging his retirement party alongside doubles partner Dan Evans.

The Team GB duo have faced seven match points in their two matches but somehow find themselves in the quarter-finals.

Spanish dream team Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz also booked their spot in the last eight with a three-set win over the Netherlands last night.

They will be in action this evening against American's Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram.

Carlos Alcaraz is into the men's singles quarter-finals at Roland Garros after he was too good for Russian Roman Safiullin, winning 6-4 6-2.

That sets up a tasty quarter-final with American Tommy Paul in a rematch from the Wimbledon quarter-finals earlier this month, which Alcaraz won in four sets after losing the first one.

There are a host of big names left in the men's singles with the quarter-final draw looking like this...

    • Novak Djokovic (Srb, 1) v Stefanos Tsitsipas (Gre, 8)
    • Alexander Zverev (Ger, 3) or Alexei Popyrin (Aus) v Lorenzo Musetti (Ita, 11)
    • Casper Ruud (Nor, 6) or Francisco Cerundolo (Arg) v Felix Auger-Aliassime (Can, 13) or Daniil Medvedev (Rus, 4)
    • Tommy Paul (USA, 9) v Carlos Alcaraz (Esp, 2)

Will it be a repeat of the Wimbledon final with Novak Djokovic taking on Carlos Alcaraz? It is still on.

Patience and delivery of where Jess Fox wants to place her blade. I don’t get the impression she is putting 100% of her power into this run.

That was a beautiful display of paddling from Jess. She nailed that. She is here for one colour, that's for sure.

Toughest event - depends on the level of achievement or embarrassment! As a horse rider, I’d say the average person could sit on a trained horse and make it do something, even if likely to fall off over those jumps! However very few people could throw those shapes anywhere near the gymnasts!!

Surely it's the Canoe Slalom? I can't imagine many regular humans getting through a single gate, or even staying upright.

Mallory just looked like she had a really nice flow on the water.

Some of the moves didn’t come off so she fell off the waves but in between is where you want to see it, just by not getting the glide on the water.

Getting through the rounds is the name of the game before that winner-takes-all final run - and the Tokyo silver medallist was upbeat about her chances following yesterday’s competition.

“If I can keep my head straight and deliver tomorrow then who knows what can happen,” Franklin said.

    Jess Anderson
    BBC Sport in Paris

Great Britain's Kieran Reilly is already a bit of a pioneer in the world of BMX at just 23-years-old.

He shot into the spotlight when he uploaded a video of him performing a triple flair - three backflips and a 180 degree rotation - becoming the first person in the world to land the trick.

Even as a kid, he was the first to put his hand up to have a go at a new trick or try the latest thing. Aged just 11, he landed a 720 - two full spins in one jump - at a competition in Glasgow and says he tries to consistently push the boundaries of the sport.

Having qualified top of the pile on Tuesday, Reilly had a serious chance of picking up gold today but the Team GB star had to settle for silver.

Might he consider returning at Los Angeles 2028 with gold on the agenda?
