GB's Kieran Reilly will soon be in BMX freestyle final action as he looks to add to the gold medal he won at 2023 World Championships.

They’re made the trip to Paris from Gateshead and it’s fair to say they are absolutely buzzing to see him in his first Olympics.

His mum Leanne is a bag of nerves but says none of this bothers Kieran. He’s so cool about it.

The picture shows friends, grandparents, siblings, his auntie and mum.

His dad is also present but decided he wanted to watch the women's freestyle final.

I honestly don’t think I could walk across the beam. I’d back myself to climb onto the pommel horse……not sure what I’d do next, just sit there I guess.

Both fighters were on two penalties but the Austrian came through with a Waza-ari.

One constant for Great Britain's Kieran Reilly throughout his success in the past year or so has been his infamous mullet.

Reilly was ridiculed by his teammates after a trip to the hairdressers resulted in him accidentally being given the hairstyle.

A gold medal at the European Games led him to question whether the mullet was in fact a good luck charm and he therefore kept it for the World Championships later that year...where he won gold.

Reilly said that meant it had to stay for the Olympics and the flowing hair out of the back of his helmet has now become a bit of a trademark.

If he secures gold today surely he'll have to keep it forever?

Canada docked six points after appeal dismissedpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 31 July

    Women's football

Canada's appeal against a points deduction at the Olympic Games for using a drone to spy on rival team's training sessions has been dismissed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

FIFA docked them six points from their group at the Paris Games and banned coach Bev Priestman from football-related activities for a year after New Zealand complained that Canadian staff flew drones over their training sessions before their opening match.

They appeal the decision but CAS has dismissed the case.

Canada won their first two matches to get back to zero points and could still qualify from the group if they beat Colombia in their final group match.

China's Yahwen Deng takes Olympic gold in the women's BMX freestlye!

Absolute agony for the United States' Hannah Roberts, who had to deliver on her final run but didn't pull off her first trick and she throws her bike away in frustration before putting her head in her hands.

She's in tears on the course. She has won absolutely everything in BMX freestyle but is still without an Olympic gold medal. Just like in Tokyo, it's disappointment.

But ecstasy for Deng who has come from nowhere to take gold here!y

It's silver for USA's Perris Benegas and bronze for Australia's Natalya Diehm.

Tokyo 2020 gold medalist Charlotte Worthington went out in yesterday's qualifier and didn't feature in today's final.

Diver Lois Toulson had this to say when she spoke to BBC TV after winning a bronze medal for Team GB: "It's a bit surreal to be honest. This is my third Olympics and I have always wanted one of these so I'm just so happy and proud that we were able to get on the medal podium.

"Yasmin [Harper] and Scarlett [Mew Jensen] got on the podium the other day as well so I think as Team GB and as British women, we are looking really good and it is good that we are able to push diving forwards especially for the women and hopefully there is a lot more to come.

"I feel like sometimes it is easer when you know you have got to do a good dive, it's almost like the underdog and you have to keep fighting so that spurred us on to do our last two dives as well as we could.

"Having my family here means so much. My family have been there through everything."

British diving duo Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and Lois Toulson spoke to BBC TV following their brilliant bronze medal in the women's synchro 10m platform this morning.

Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix: "I'm so happy. I usually have so much to say but I don't have anything to say today but having my family here, doing it alongside Lois has been a crazy two years. I give glory to God and I have grown so much as a person not just alongside her but as an athlete. I'm so happy.

"We kept on pushing, never gave up. We had two more rounds left [after a wobble in the third dive]. We knew we could do it and if anyone could do it we knew it would be us. We knew we had to be strong, be courageous, go for it, just threw yourselves off and do the last dive.

"Every synchro competition we have done since we have started, we have got a synchro medal so of course it was possible but being here now is just surreal."

Re impossible Olympic sports for amateurs. Definitely gymnastics. I can run slowly. I can swim slowly. I can ride a bike. I've played most of the team sports without much skill. But I can't comprehend how even the simpler gymnastics moves are possible.

Water polo has to be up there, can’t be many sports where just being in the field of play is difficult. People are shocked that you can’t stand or touch the side at all, and that’s before someone legally drowns you when you’re holding the ball.

It's been quite the morning for Team GB, with a lot of the chaos coming all at once in the past hour or so. For those of you still trying to catch up with everything, here's how it unfolded...

08:56 BST - Beth Potter crosses the line in third to win bronze following a gruelling women's triathlon.

10:50 BST - Lois Toulson and Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix take bronze in the women's synchronised 10m platform diving final, having gone into their final round outside of the medal positions.

11:29 BST - From being 15 seconds behind with only a few hundred metres to go, Alex Yee storms back to win a sensational gold in the men's triathlon.

11:44 BST - Just like Yee, Britain's rowers also look down and out until a late surge sees them take gold in the women's quad sculls final - via a photo finish.

Let's have a recap of some of the other the action, shall we?

Great Britain's women started their hockey match against South Africa knowing they had to win and that is exactly what they did.

In the pool, GB's Luke Greenbank was disqualified from the men's 200m backstroke after breaching the 15-metre limit for swimming underwater at a lap-change.

Alex Yee put in a spectacular finish to clinch the gold in the men's triathlon and spoke to BBC Sport's JJ Chalmers:

"I still don’t really know what to say to be honest. I’m a bit lost for words and so grateful to everyone who’s been in my corner for the last three years. That was for them.

"At 5km I was going through a really bad patch and with 2.5km to go I thought I’m going to give myself one last chance at this and not give up, and here we are."

What were you saying to yourself in final moments:

"Anything can happen. I am still just that normal guy, I work hard at my sport and I just love what I’m doing.

"For me it's amazing I can be in this position and these guys have worked so hard for me.

"They came and they lined the streets and everyone gave me a push today to get to Hayden.

"Appreciate him for just giving me that push and really extracting everything out of my body."
