Did you see that? Did you SEE that?
We were all peering over the edges of the stands waiting to see how much of a gap Hayden Wilde had over Alex Yee in the final metres of the race, only for Yee to emerge from round the corner and take the gold.
The selfless set-up from Sam Dickinson. The remarkable last-gasp overtake. That was AWESOME.

We have been absolutely delivered two amazing races today. All credit to Hayden Wilde, he really did know that he had to make hard from the outset to beat Alex Yee. We thought that he had it but he ran out of legs. And it was such an impressive run from Leo Bergere from France to take third. What a race but Alex Yee, absolutely phenomenal. They have given it all. I have no words, how on earth did he do that?
A fifth gold medal for Team GB and, I've got to be honest, it's one that I'd given up on with less than a kilometre to go.
Thankfully, there was no such defeatist attitude from Alex Yee. He went from glancing over his shoulder as France's Leo Bergere, who took the bronze, made a late push to turning on the afterburners and flying past Hayden Wilde.
What a run at the end of such a gruelling race.

How could Alex Yee do that to us. What an extraordinary last few metres.
The wheels came off for Hayden Wilde and Yee had something left in the tank – whatever it was, he wasn’t settling for silver.

Stunning! Alex Yee has done it! What a finish!
He looked down and out but he's come back to win in astonishing style!
How did he do that?
He looked like he was fighting to hold on to the silver but ends up winning the gold - six seconds clear of Hayden Wilde. He was 15 seconds back with a few hundred metres to go. Wow.

Surely not?!
SURELY NOT.
HERE COMES ALEX YEE!!!
Men's triathlon
Ignore what I just said - start thinking about that gold medal again!
Alex Yee is on the charge and he's surged past Hayden Wilde.
That is incredible! He is storming to victory!
Men's quad sculls final
Defending champions the Netherlands have powered into an early lead but the British crew have had a good start themselves as they sit in fourth after 500m.
They're in the mix.

These five minutes can't come quick enough for Alex Yee. He is fighting so hard you can see how much exertion how much effort he is outing in. He's still in silver medal position.
Men's triathlon
Forget gold, Alex Yee is now having to hold off France's Leo Bergere who has come storming through.
Hayden Wilde looks set to secure the gold, Yee is still second with a five-second lead over Bergere.

Alex Yee is not completely out of the gold medal fight yet and can see Hayden Wilde as they come through the bell.
But the Briton is running out of road to try and claw his rival back.
He's going to have to produce something quite special over this closing 2.5km lap to upgrade his Tokyo silver. Yee looks relaxed- as he passes us, but he has to make a move now if he has the legs!

What has Alex Yee got left?
The bell rings with the Team GB triathlete 14 seconds behind leader Hayden Wilde of New Zealand. Overcoming that will take some doing.
It currently looks like it will be a silver medal at least, though, for Yee. He's 16 seconds clear of third.

Hannah Scott (third from left) will attempt to help Team GB to gold in Paris
You know how the saying goes. You wait ages for one to show up, and then two come along at once...or will it be three?
Heading into these Games only three athletes from Northern Ireland had ever won an Olympic gold medal - with the last coming 36 years ago.
Swimmers Daniel Wiffen and Jack McMillan changed that last night, and now Hannah Scott will go for another gold this morning.
Scott will race in the women's quadruple sculls for Team GB with Georgina Brayshaw, Lola Anderson and Lauren Henry at 11:38 BST.
The crew are reigning world champions and were fastest in the heats.
Scott is from the same rowing club in Coleraine as 2012 medallists Alan Campbell and brothers Peter and Richard Chambers. Can she go one better in Paris with gold?
