More from Team GB's Georgia Taylor-Brown and Beth Potter, speaking to BBC One.

Georgia Taylor-Brown: "It was nice to be at the front, take your own line and commit. We all had our own individual plans and we all executed them pretty well.

"As a collective we walk away with a silver and it's an incredible effort from the team, but pretty stressful watching."

Beth Potter: "I found something on the bridge and bridged the gap to the girls. I sat and kicked - I had just enough to get the silver."

That was a brilliant anchor leg from Germany's Laura Lindemann, who held off Taylor Knibb and Beth Potter on the final straight.

World champions Germany, who also won the Olympic test event here last year, lived up to their billing as one of the pre-race favourites.

There was also a monumental effort from France to come home in fourth after Pierre le Corre's crash on the opening leg left them cut adrift at the back of the field.

Great Britain's team have been speaking after winning silver in the triathlon mixed team relay.

Alex Yee: "I'm so proud of the team. What an amazing day for our sport, what a day."

Sam Dickinson: "Very happy with that. Just a clinical relay performance from start to finish, no mistakes. It's so important to be at the front in a relay as we saw today. I had full faith handing to Beth, she had the hardest leg and she smashed it."

  11. Postpublished at 08:35 British Summer Time 5 August

It's a brilliant event, one that took us through all the emotions.

We had Alex Yee's cracking first leg, France's devastating crash from which they never recovered, Sam Dickinson and Germany's Lasse Luehrs going side-by-side for the entirety of the third, and yet after all that, it still came down to a sprint finish!

Credit to Germany's Lindemann and USA's Knibb, they never gave up even when Beth Potter was comfortably clear.

I really don't think Beth Potter could have given any more, I just think the fatigue from winning the bronze medal in the individual was too much for her. You could see how fatigued she was when she crossed the line.
