We've had news that Kenya's Faith Kipyegon, who finished second, has been disqualified after a collision with Gudaf Tsegay in the 5,000m final.

That means Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands has been upgraded from bronze to silver with Italy's Nadia Battocletti promoted to bronze.

    Dame Denise Lewis

We talk about a short career, we've got a very talented, unique individual in Keely Hodgkinson. She finds the right set-up. You then have the attitude and willingness to do the hard work and it is phenomenal.

She realised at Tokyo that unexpectedly, she came away with a silver medal and would've gone away knowing she is very good at this. She's been training in 400m to work on her speed and, systematically, has been working out how to win.

She is ready and it was such a commanding piece of running. She ran 1:56 in what I called a training run, she did it at a canter. She's not thinking of losing, just how she's going to win.

I just really feel that we are going to see something so special from Keely Hodgkinson tonight and I think she is going to put a show on for us all.

She is the world lead, she is the British record holder. When you think, the last woman who held the British record also did something special at the Olympic Games 20 years ago, Dame Kelly Holmes, winning the 800m and the 1500m double.

Keely is another level now. She has moved the British record on, obliterated the British record.

Her last three years have been a whirlwind, bursting on to the scene as a 19-year-old going to Tokyo where she took the silver medal.

I just think now is the time, now is her time. The consistency and the work that she has put in over the last three years

Tonight we will have the pleasure of watching her finally reach her dreams and I honestly do believe that. I have never been so confident and positive. I think all of the runners will be orchestrated by Keely tonight.

There's so much pressure and we're all saying gold for Keely, but she's absolutely backed it up ever since she's been here. She's run fantastic rounds, very consistent, very in control of her running and I don't think she's made any changes in this final.

She needs to stay out of danger and run the way she's run all year. It's just how fast can she go.

I think everyone in that race is going to want to battle for a medal, and believe that they can, so I think you will see some tactics, there will be some games played, I'm sure.

Again Keely is such a quick runner, she knows what she needs to do, she's got the legs to do it and if she stays out of danger, I do think it will be hard to beat her.

    Athletics - women's 200m semi-finals

Team GB's Daryll Neita speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live after reaching the 200m final: "It feels amazing, it was just about coming here today and getting that qualifying. It has been quite a few days on the track so recovery has been quite important over the last 24 hours. To get through that round in one piece, fantastic, on to the final.

"I am just staying focused on what I need to do and I'm happy with this race today. I would have liked to have won it because obviously that would put me in a better position but it's absolutely fine. We're in the final and when you're in that anything can happen so I am feeling very good."

On racing in the 200m: "I'm absolutely loving it. My coach and I, Marco, shout out to him, he has done an amazing job with me, getting my fitness there and getting me strong. I've balanced the two events much better this year so I'm really proud of myself.

"I just wanted to say, I didn't mention it after the 100m. Big shout out to everyone who has supported me, my team, my coach, my family, my friends, my supporters, just everyone who has encouraged me so much because I wouldn't be here without any of those people. Another big thank you to the National Lottery because without them none of this happens for our team so just thanks to everyone."

Miles clear of the bar at 5.95m. You just can't see Armand Duplantis losing this pole vault final.

The Swede won Olympic gold with 6.02m in Tokyo three years ago and given he set a world record of 6.24m earlier this year, I think we can expect him to better Thiago Braz's Olympic record of 6.03m from Rio 2016.

American Sam Kendricks is the only other athlete who has cleared 5.95m, his season best, while Greece's Emmanouil Karalis has opted to skip that height.

Most spectacular Olympic venue in Paris? There is some tough competition.

Place de la Concorde - one of the French capital's biggest public squares - has got to be on the podium.

From the stands of the 3x3 basketball court you can see the Eiffel Tower, Concorde's iconic Luxor Obelisk and the gold-glistening dome of Invalides - all instantly recognisable Paris ladmarks.

This infamous concrete square used to hold public executions in the French Revolution.

Daryll Neita obviously had the slight frustration from the 100 metres where she finished fourth but she has taken that into the 200 metres.

She got a fantastic start, came out really fast from the blocks, ran a great bend as well. She just looked so determined in the latter part of the race, which really impressed me.

She showed great composure too, a fantastically strong run, she is not fazed by what is happening around her.
