Oh hello! Tommy Fleetwood is dialling in.

The 33-year-old Brit drops in another birdie putt on the par-five ninth, moving him into the silver medal position.

Fleetwood is up to 16 under after the tweet-tweet.

Seconds later, playing partner Jon Rahm reopens the three-shot gap with his fifth birdie of the final day.

The Spanish superstar has gone out in 31. Rahmbo is pumped.

It's been a lively start to the women's road race, with Slovakia's Nora Jencusova having gone clear out at the front.

Approaching the day's second climb she has a chasing group of five riders about 45 seconds back, with the peloton almost three minutes adrift.

Djokovic 5-4 Alcaraz - gold medal match

    Annabel Croft

Djokovic is just literally managing somehow to scrape through some of these points. I think he gets unsure of where to hit the ball, to get it out of that strike zone of Alcaraz. There’s nowhere really safe.

This is the kind of pressure that for the majority of his career, he has created on other opponents but now he’s the one that’s facing it, up against Alcaraz.

Utter silence in the arena as the 'strong men' as they are often referred to take to the rings and the crowd hold their breath.

Three brilliantly difficult and impressive routines to kick us off but it's still defending champion Yang Liu who sits in the gold-medal position for now.

Both players have got huge smiles on their faces, purely because of the ridiculousness of some of these rallies.

But if there’s one man who will not give in, it is Novak Djokovic. This is the best he’s played all year by far.

Djokovic saves FIVE break pointspublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 4 August

Djokovic 5-4 Alcaraz - gold medal match

Five break points come and go for Carlos Alcaraz!

Novak Djokovic has the chance to finish off a point he has bossed at 30-30. He comes forward, thumps the forehand but saw the ball ping off the net chord and wide!

Break point for Alcaraz - and it's another fantastic point. But this time, despite the Spaniard's excellent defence, Djokovic is able to save it.

Alcaraz reads the drop shot from Djokovic on the next point, though, and whips it down the line to bring up another break point.

Saved again and Djokovic allows himself a smile. The Serb then charges to the net after serving to save a third - and Alcaraz goes long.

Again and again Alcaraz threatens but he just can't deliver the killer blow.

Then at long, long last, the number one seed secures the hold. Over an hour played and we're still in the first set.

Petrounias into third after Cuyle fallspublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 4 August

    Men's rings final

Greece's Eleftherios Petrounias, bronze medallist in Tokyo, puts together a solid routine and makes no mistake on the dismount but it's not enough to topple the two Chinese gymnasts - he goes into third.

And he stays in that position too after an agonising fall from Belgium's Glen Cuyle, who goes for a very difficult triple back somersault dismount and rolls forward upon his landing.

He scores 13.833, so China keep the top two spots for now.

This court is made for the speedsters!

I've been told that it is the biggest in tennis, in terms of the run back and the width outside of the white lines.

Rafael Nadal has used it so well over the years and Carlos Alcaraz is doing exactly the same here.

Djokovic's mind must be working overtime, trying to work out where to hit the ball, because nowhere is safe!

    Men's rings final

Jingyuan Zhou is up first but there's no sign of any early nerves from the Chinese gymnast.

He qualified in first place on this apparatus, and it's another impressive performance with a score of 15.233. It's down on his qualification score because of a few stutters on his dismount.

His team-mate Yang Liu is up second. Liu is the reigning world and Olympic champion and performs like one, too - a stunning routine scores 15.300 and that puts him ahead.

GB's Hepworth is going to be the seventh to perform out of eight finalists.

South Korea win archery gold by three millimetrespublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 4 August

    Men's individual archery

Sometimes, the difference between Olympic gold and silver is the narrowest of margins. In this case, three millimetres.

The men's individual archery final between Kim Woo-jin of South Korea and Brady Ellison of USA came down to a one-arrow shoot-off as they were tied at 5-5 after five sets.

The fifth set had ended 30-30, after both men hit the 10-point bullseye with all three of their arrows.

In the shoot-off, whoever fires their arrow closest to the centre of the target wins. Kim shot his 58mm from the middle, then Ellison's landed 61mm away.

By that margin, top seed Kim won gold while Ellison - twice a world champion but never an Olympic champ - took silver.

Lee Woo-seok also got on the podium for Korea, winning the bronze medal match 6-0 versus Germany's Florian Unruh, who earlier beat Tom Hall of Great Britain in the round of 16.

A big cheer for Harry Hepworth as he enters the arena, becoming the first British man to ever compete in the rings final.

It's already quite an achievement for the 20-year-old on an apparatus British gymnasts have never excelled on.

The two Chinese athletes and Greek gymnast Eleftherios Petrounias - who is known as 'The Lord of the Rings' - will be tough to beat, though.

Hepworth's qualifying score was 14.700 which qualified him in eighth place. He improved that score by 0.100 in the team final.

Rory McIlroy has not built any momentum today.

The Team Ireland golfer started with two birdies in the opening three holes but has plateaued since.

McIlroy turns in 34 to stay 12 under and will need to motor on the back nine if he is to challenge for the podium.

Scottie Scheffler's foot has come off the gas, too. After a birdie-birdie-birdie start, the world number one has rattled off six pars on the bounce and stays 14 under.

Jon Rahm, remember, is pacesetting on 18 under.

Novak Djokovic has been out there for a long time, breaking every single record.

What he knows now is that he doesn't need to play well for 52 weeks of the year anymore - it is a bonus if he is - but he just needs to play well for the two weeks of a Grand Slam or the nine days here.

This year has been tough for him. He is starting to lose to a lot of younger players - they are coming for him and he faces a young player in Carlos Alcaraz here as well!

There was an interesting moment in that game when he appeared to lose his bearings and hit a volley from just in front of the baseline.

No harm done, though, as the subsequent drop shot from Novak Djokovic finds the net.
