While we wait for KJT in the high jump element of the heptathlon, the track action captures our attention.

The home fans are particularly interested with France going in the second heat of the women's 4x100m relay.

The usual cries of 'Allez Les Bleues' greet the hosts being introduced before a hush of silence is ended by the starting gun.

The sprinters are carried round the track by a wave of noise.

The duel between Britain and France down the straight is a crowd pleaser, with the French fans more than happy with their team's efforts.

Moments later we hear shrieks from the Dutch team - they've just heard they've qualified as a fastest loser.

It will be a failed dive if Vazquez's feet touched the water before her hands and therefore it will be zero points.

It doesn't look like it will be granted. It's a real shame for her. It's really tough.

A gesture towards her coach suggests Grace Reid isn't too happy with her penultimate dive.

With one round of dives to go, Reid is in ninth with the top 12 making the final. There's still a bit of work to do.

Yasmin Harper is more comfortable in sixth.

There was a bit of drama in that round too with Mexico's Vazquez landing her dive flat on her back. She protested, claiming she had been distracted by something.

The referees disappear to a shady corner but it doesn't look like that appeal has gone her way. The result is a failed dive and zero points from that round.

No Dina Asher-Smith, no Daryll Neita. No problem for Great Britain!

A superb run, nice, clean changeovers and Desiree Henry maintains the lead on the anchor leg.

Team GB win in 42.03 with France second in 42.13 and Jamaica back in third.

Canada and Netherlands were fourth and fifth, respectively, but both got round fast enough to make it through to the final ahead of Ivory Coast and Australia.

After hectic individual programmes, Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita aren't in the Great Britain quartet.

That means it's up to Bianca Williams, Imani Lansiquot, Amy Hunt and Desiree Henry to try and book their place in the final.

They're in lane seven with Jamaica on the outside in lane nine.

Team USA overcome a rather messy changeover between Twanisha Terry to Gabi Thomas to win heat one in 41.94 seconds.

Terry just about got the baton into Thomas' hand in time and. although that cost them the lead, Sha'carri Richardson soon got it back on the anchor leg.

USA in first, Germany second and Switzerland third. They progress to the final, Ivory Coast and Australia in fourth and fifth must wait for the second heat to see if they qualify.

They have four fights today to get through. Each fight will be so hard and different technically. It gets harder on the way, you can't look too far ahead. With it now being the round system, you have to focus on that one round.

You can't have a bad round now. Round by round, point by point and kick by kick. You have to break it down.
