I don't think anyone can bet against Lyles after the 100m.

He pulled it out of the hat in the final so I think no one can bet against him. He is so confident, so talented, and taking part in his best event which is the 200m.

The men's javelin final gets under way at 19:25 BST and features reigning Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra of India.

Chopra says the javelin "changed everything" for him after he was bullied at school for being overweight. Fast forward to Tokyo 2020 and the 26-year-old secured the gold medal with a throw of 87.58 metres.

His season-best is 88.36m, while his personal-best throw is 89.94m.

If you want to try and emulate Chopra's training routine, you'll need to add bending backwards like a bow whilst holding a weighted ball and gradually lowering yourself to your knees until the ball is half an inch off the ground to your workout regime.

Standing in the way of Chopra retaining his Games title is Czech athlete Jakub Vadlejch, who is ranked number one in the world.

She is absolutely delighted with that, letting out a huge cheer as she lands a massive personal best of 14.44m, moments after Nafi Thiam equals her personal best with 15.54.

That adds half a metre on to her previous personal best of 13.92m, set in May 2023.

As it stands, Johnson-Thomspon is second overall, but as this is one of her weaker events it is just about putting in a solid performance to stay in touch - and she has absolutely done that.
