Argh, she had it! A fine attempt from Isadora Pacheco comes to a crashing end as she can't quite land a jump.

She still had enough content to score 63 for round two, even with the crash.

Expect her to go full throttle for her last run.

A disappointing run two for Zheng Haohao as she loses her balance 10 seconds in.

She'll have one more attempt to improve on her score of 63 in the first round.

They've just said on commentary that skateboarding is Brazil's second biggest sport - who knew?!

I guess busting out tricks around Copacabana beach ties in neatly with how Brazilians go about their national passion of football.

And the Rio public will be celebrating a terrific opening run from Isadora Pacheco as she joins the bunch over 80 points with a score of 82.07.

Zheng Haohao only just scraped through in the qualifying. You can see nothing, but confidence and exuberance from her.

It's a clean round and no faults!

Eleven years old, what were you doing at 11?

A 63.19 for Zheng Haohao in her maiden Olympic run.

It's a solid start for the Chinese athlete who does not look at all overawed on debut.

When I was 11, all I was worried about was whether I'd finished my homework.

Right we're away with heat two.

And there's a groan from the French masses on Place de la Concorde as home favourite Nana Taboulet topples off her board on a lip slide.

China's youngest ever Olympian is up next.

I hadn't anticipated the gap between the heats in this skateboarding as heat two is still yet to get under way.

Remember, Sky Brown and Lola Tambling are in the third of four heats - with the top eight skaters making the final.

Just to make your card though, Zheng Haohao of China is in this second heat - and she's only 11. ELEVEN.

It was a successful morning for Team GB divers Jack Laugher and Jordan Houlden as they cruised through the preliminary round of the men's 3m springboard.

Needing to be in the top 18 to reach the semi-finals, Laugher finished third with a score of 468.30 and Houlden a place behind with 448.20.

Tokyo silver medallist Wang Zongyuan was top qualifier with 530.65 while Chinese compatriot and reigning Olympic champion Xie Siyi came second with 509.60.

Sky Brown tried to qualify for the surfing at the Olympics and she came very close to doing so.

Brown's shoulder popped out, she is 16 and this is a regular injury so normally she just pops it back in.

She knows she has to have surgery when she gets home from the Olympics, but for now it is strap that shoulder in and survive this week.

It's a one-two for the Japanese after heat one as they throw the gauntlet down to the rest of the field.

Sixteen athletes still to go in these prelims, but it's already looking like runs of 80+ points will be what it takes to finish in the top eight - and reach the final.

That could spell trouble for reigning champ Sakura Yosuzumi who topped out at 79.70.

    Current standings:

    1. Kokona Hiraki - 88.07
    2. Bryce Wettstein - 85.65
    3. Hinano Kusaki - 85.11
    4. Sakura Yosuzumi - 79.70

Here's a look at what's happened so far this morning at the Paris Olympics:

    • Team GB fail to add to their equestrian medal haul with Ben Maher and Scott Brash coming up short and Germany's Christian Kukuk winning gold.
    • Fellow British rider Harry Charles withdrew prior to the event because his horse was not fit enough to compete.
    • Britons Laura Muir and Georgia Bell qualify for the women's 1500m semi-finals, while Victoria Ohuruogu makes it into the women's 400m semis.
    • Team GB's Jack Laugher and Jordan Houlden qualify for the men's 3m springboard semi-finals.

    And here's what's coming up:

    • World number ones the Netherlands take on surprise package Spain in the men's hockey quarter-finals at 13:00 BST.
    • Britain's Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix competes in the women’s diving 10m platform final at 14:00 BST.
    • Team GB's Micky Beckett is in sailing medal contention when the men’s ILCA 7 (dinghy) race gets under way at 14:43 BST.

Whoever bagged the contract for making the Olympic signs is laughing.

Probably while they are poolside at their newly-bought luxury villa on the Côte d’Azur. Must be quids in.

Keeping people moving is one of the keys to a successful Olympic Games with arrows pointing to the venues, and around them, directing everyone where they need to be.

Even a local boulangerie near the Aquatics Centre is getting in on the act with homemade signage leading folk to the baguettes.

Eight-time world champion and Tokyo gold medallist Janja Garnbret of Slovenia is top after registering a near-perfect score of 99.6

The lead semi-final takes place on Wednesday. The eight athletes with the highest combined scores across both disciplines advance to Saturday's final.
