Jersey Reds scrum-half Joel Dudley says the island side's players need to face "a lot of home truths" after a fourth successive Championship defeat.

London Scottish eased to a 36-10 win at St Peter as Jersey's worst run of form since 2014 continued.

"Sometimes we probably are a little bit nice to ourselves and we look at then positives," Dudley told BBC Jersey.

"The boys need to look at themselves, and there'll be a lot of people looking at how individuals have played."

The 24-year-old added: "There's got to be a lot of home truths come out and a little bit of honesty about how it's gone."

Jersey dropped to eighth in the Championship, having won their opening two league games after a three-game winning run in pre-season which included a win over Premiership side Worcester.

"It's one of those things where we've got to bounce back," he added.

"We've got a bit of a break from the Championship now with the two British and Irish Cup games and that's a big test for a lot of boys.

"To bounce back from a performance like this one is going to be a real struggle."
