    FT: England 16-15 Scotland

Victory means England have ended their four-match losing streak against Scotland. That was their first win over Gregor Townsend's side since 2020, and first win over their rivals at Twickenham since 2017.

    Massive result.

  2. 'It really is sore for Scotland'published at 18:54 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

It really is sore for Scotland.

It's frustrating because you create more opportunities and score three tries. To come so close against an England team that weren't particularly good.

Scotland committed so much to it and to come away with just a losing bonus point is hard to take.

Can't believe how flat I feel after that win. England utter devoid of any joy or entertainment. Scotland deserved to win.

    Josh, Norwich.

Josh, a win is a win, no?

  4. Russell's kicks prove costlypublished at 18:49 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    FT: England 16-15 Scotland

Finn Russell missed all three kicks he had at goal. The last one was difficult from out wide, you wonder if his kicking confidence was up, would he have nailed the winner?

Saying that, Fin Smith smashed one from halfway. Small margins Test match footie.

  5. 'Scotland could never work their way back into the game'published at 18:47 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    FT: England 16-15 Scotland

    Fraser Brown
Former Scotland hooker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I thought Scotland were excellent in the first half and England did so well to stay in the contest.

England came out and took control of the second half and Scotland could never work their way back into the game.

    Duhan van der Merwe

THAT GUY! Finn Russell misses the kick though. There is time for the restart. This is mad.

Replacement Stafford McDowall make the initial break, with the ball then going wide for Duhan van der Merwe to breeze over.

The kick was from out wide and just didn't come in enough.

It may be his first Six Nations game, but the ref is guessing his way through it. Some poor decisions.

A behind-the-back pass fails to find a frustrated Huw Jones and Duhan van der Merwe, who were in space. Ewan Ashman gives away a penalty for a block to make matters worse for the visitors.

Six points feels like a massive ask for Scotland now. You are not going to see England compete for the ball unless they know they can jackal.

  15. England to regain Calcutta Cup?published at 76 mins

    England 16-10 Scotland

England have not beaten Scotland since 2020 and have not beaten their old rivals at Twickenham since 2017.

Are they about to get rid of those unwanted stats and at the same time remove the asterisk from their 26-25 win over France in their last match at Allianz Stadium?

Scotland just need one opportunity and they will believe. A lot of it will depend on how England want to play.

It's simple for me, we have not mentioned Duhan van der Merwe at all in the second half of the game. He needs to get the ball in his hands, he is the catalyst to this Scotland side.
