Duhan van der Merwe skips away from a tackle and finds Blair Kinghorn in space, the Scotland full-back then puts Tom Jordan away down the wing and he passes back inside to Ben White for the opening try.

It's a fabulous fixture, particularly when it's here in London. It's a different type of atmosphere and it means so much to these players because of its history.
There is going to be a lot of pain in that England side from two years ago.

John Barclay Former Scotland captain on BBC's Rugby Union Weekly
There is more self-assuredness that we’ve done this before and won.
It is not the stadium or venue, but a group of players who have played together for a number of years now.
The consistent golden thread that runs through these games is Finn Russell, Huw Jones and Duhan van der Merwe. All three have had huge moments in these games.
Those guys have developed their games and now understand how to win these matches and what is required.

They do pre-match well here at Allianz Stadium. A blizzard of pumping dance beats, a blast of pyro off the rafters and then the familiar chords of Seven Nation Army blare out.
We are almost ready for the teams' arrival on the turf...

This rivalry goes back 153 years. Even back in the day, it got a little spicy.
One of the panels in a display about Twickenham's history, includes this article detailing how Scotland refused to play in a planned fixture against England in 1909 to mark the construction of the first stands at the venue.
The Scottish Rugby Union objected to members of an Australia national team being paid a guinea, in addition to expenses, during their tour of the Britain that year.
Even with inflation it doesn't quite match up with Finn Russell's pay packet at Bath...

Two rounds in and there's a sense Scotland have yet to really hit their straps in this Six Nations.
The opening day win over Italy brought five points but the performance was patchy, and Ireland dominated Scotland at Murrayfield last time out.
Gregor Townsend's side must find their spark today against England. If they don't, it will be another campaign that peters out before the business end of the tournament.
For 38 years Twickenham was a graveyard for Scottish hopes and dreams, but the Scots are unbeaten here since 2017 and an unprecedented fifth straight win over their oldest rivals would reignite their Six Nations aspirations.
Can England stop Van der Merwe?published at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

If Finn Russell has been the architect of England's downfall in the Calcutta Cup, Duhan van der Merwe has been the executioner.
Whether smashing over from close range or gliding past white shirts in midfield, the wing has scored more times against England than any other player in the history of the Six Nations.
Van Der Merwe scored an impressive brace, including one of the great tries in Six Nations history on Scotland's last visit to London, before claiming a hat-trick in last year's win at Murrayfield.

If there's one game which inspires Finn Russell to produce his best form in a Scotland jersey, it's England away.
The fly-half's try-scoring, man-of-the-match performance at Twickenham in 2019 dragged Scotland level in a thrilling 38-38 draw, before another superb display featuring an assist for Duhan van der Merwe's try two years later helped the visitors to a first win since 1983 at the home of English rugby.
Then in 2023, on their last visit, he pulled the strings again and had an influential role in Van der Merwe's late try as Scotland won 29-23.

England scrum coach Tom Harrison - pictured below with Joe Marler after last year's Calcutta Cup match - says there is a "nastiness" to Steve Borthwick's side.
Since his first Six Nations in 2023, Borthwick is yet to beat Gregor Townsend as a head coach.
"Everyone says teams who play against England 'they find a bit extra', but actually there's a nastiness to us," Harrison said.
"We want to win the Calcutta Cup back here. We haven't done so and we want to do that."
