Seb: Bingham has folded like a deck of cards. Fancy Wilson for the title if he can keep off the pizza and Peronis.

This is the last thing both players would have wanted.

The reds are gradually getting closer to the black with each shot.

    Jak has a 20-point advantage so he won't be wanting a re-rack.

Jak Jones has a 28-8 lead in this frame but we're in for a period of 'cat and mouse' here with the black over a corner pocket and no reds really available.

What better way to spend my birthday than a late night in the Crucible press room?

That’s what we’re gearing up for, although Jak Jones could really punish Stuart Bingham now if he can’t put some of his recent bad shot choices behind him.

The good news is we have snacks and brews. Let’s get the kettle on folks.

    Bingham 11-15 Jones

Jak Jones celebrates likes he's just won the match after escaping that fiendish snooker off four cushions.

He's left a red, though - but Stuart Bingham misses the black after and turns away in a mixture of disgust and despair.

It is, Dennis. Three minutes and counting!

But with the aid of the TV replays and an assistant official, the balls are back (virtually) where they were.

Be funny if Jones fouls and blasts them everywhere again...

Jak Jones hits the pink on his escape, scattering the reds everywhere.

And there's no pot on - so the referee will have to replace the balls! Much to the crowd's amusement...

Jak Jones can only make 28 from that opening. But when he misses a tough red, it's with safety in mind so nothing easy for Stuart Bingham, despite the roars from the crowd urging him on.

Nothing easy, I say. Well there wasn't. But he's picked out a sensational long red - and put Jones in a horrible snooker behind the green on the baulk cushion.

Spare a thought for Stuart Bingham - he currently wants to run a million miles from where he's sitting. He wants the ground to swallow him up. This is the point where it's the worst place in the world to play snooker.

Not a great start in that respect, Dennis.

Poor safety leaves Jak Jones a long red that he knocks in - and a brilliant black to follow despite the white ball being on the side cushion, making it a very tricky pot.

  12. 'Must-win frame for Bingham'published at 20:47 British Summer Time 4 May

    Bingham 11-15 Jones

    Dennis Taylor
1985 world champion on BBC Two

The simple fact is that Stuart Bingham must win this frame before the mid-session interval. It's as plain as that.

Jak Jones has done what he's done all the tournament - mopped up the tears very well.

Peter: From shot of the championship to the worst shot of the championship.

VB: Bingham not exactly demonstrating his ability to put things behind him.

  15. Jones two frames from finalpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 4 May

    Bingham 11-15 Jones

Beautifully-judged cannon into a cluster of three reds off the blue from Jak Jones.

Earns oohs and aahs from the knowledgeable Crucible crowd (trademark any commentator in the past 30 years).

It opens everything up and gives Jones a four-frame lead, knocking in a break of 68 to claim this penultimate frame before the interval.

Meanwhile, Stuart Bingham has already wasted a couple of chances in frame 26.

He seems a bit scrambled right now.

Jak Jones is picking off the available reds and has a 30-point lead and counting...

  17. 'Deserves to lose the match on that shot'published at 20:39 British Summer Time 4 May

Back to that curious shot on the green in the last frame...

If Stuart Bingham was with us doing commentary, to some degree he would agree with us that he deserves to lose the match on that shot.

  19. Wilson able to resist a peek at score?published at 20:37 British Summer Time 4 May

    Bingham 11-14 Jones

    Steve Sutcliffe
BBC Sport at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield

Kyren Wilson said he was off to have a steak and some other nice food this evening with his family, when he did his post-match press duties earlier.

He also reckoned he was going to avoid any snooker chat but I wonder if he has been able to resist a peek at the scoreline for this match?

As it stands, Jak Jones, who he first competed against at Q School in 2011, is a strong favourite to meet the Englishman in the final.

  20. 'Shots like that stay with you'published at 20:36 British Summer Time 4 May

    Bingham 11-14 Jones

    Ken Doherty
1997 world champion on BBC Two

Stuart Bingham, somehow, has got to eradicate that shot that gifted Jak Jones the last frame from his memory.

How does he get over it? It's not going to be easy. Shots like that stay with you for a number of frames.
