Bingham's long ball game, which is normally so high percentage-wise, has been very, very short.

It's been found wanting so far in this semi-final.

Not a great safety from Jak Jones in return - but Stuart Bingham is well off target with a very makeable long red, one he'd expect to get much more often than not.

And it bounces across the table and back again, leaving Jones an unmissable starter.

Jak Jones tries what he hopes is a shot-to-nothing on a long red - but the cue ball cannons the black on its way back to baulk and leaves Stuart Bingham in.

It's not going to suit Stuart Bingham, this kind of frame.

He likes frames to be open - only Ronnie O'Sullivan, John Higgins and Stephen Hendry have made more career maximums than the Basildon break-builder.

Some very tough tactical play going on at the moment.

We've still got 12 reds on the table and the frame is coming up to 22 minutes.

Not a great safety from Stuart Bingham but he's a tad lucky he leaves the cue ball very close to the yellow, making an otherwise-easier red tricky.

Jak Jones gets close but no dice and we're back to safety central.

Another Jak Jones foul leads to a comical moment where both players line up behind the referee to see if it's a free ball.

It's not - but Jones misses again. However, he clips it thin on the third attempt, as intended all along.

Bingham's chance has gone awry.

He played a superb screw shot on the yellow to get on a red with the rest but then lands on top of the blue. It's break over so he feathers the cue ball to leave Jak Jones bridging very awkwardly.

Jones fouls the blue when using the spider but leaves nothing on.
