Nervy start from both players. It's understandable.

A really poor positional shot from Jak Jones halts his break at 13... that's two 13s so far from the Welshman.

    Unlucky for some?

Not that he'd be bothered of course but if Kyren Wilson was to collect the first three frames this evening to become world champion it would present the organisers with a minor issue.

Namely, at least four of the 10 scheduled frames will need to be completed to ensure that they do not have to arrange an impromptu end-of-match exhibition.

Jak Jones is bothered by an insect as he lines up a long red - but it doesn't put him off, he bangs in it nicely.

He's on the blue to the green corner - he missed two of these this afternoon... but this one's right in the heart of the pocket.

Super safety from Kyren Wilson puts the cue ball in baulk behind the black which careered up the table after that Jak Jones miss.

The Welshman doesn't hit a red with his first attempt off two cushions but adjusts on the second go.

jamiejammo7: I appreciate that they have to try and big this final session up, but it's already over, Kyren has won his first World Championship title. Congrats to him.

We MAY come back to this, Jamie.

Kyren Wilson's break-off shot is not exemplary by any means.

Leaves Jak Jones a cut on a red to the middle pocket and in it goes.

But a few shots later a black off the spot wobbles in the jaws and stays out, and the break ends on 13. Hasn't left anything, mind.

  9. What's at stake?published at 19:10 British Summer Time 6 May

Other than the title of world champion, there's some serious consideration for the bank balances here too.

The winner will receive £500,000. For the runner-up, there is the consolation of £200,000.

It's life-changing money for Jak Jones either way - in the 14 years since turning professional, his career earnings, prize-money wise, are an estimated £377,000.

The winner's cheque would obviously be the biggest payday in either player's career but the ranking points on offer are massive too.

Wilson is already up to sixth in the world but would rise to third with victory while Jones, up from 44th to at least 14th, would leapfrog his opponent to sixth if he wins.

If I was Jak Jones, come out and give it a go - go for everything, go for your shots.

If you're Kyren Wilson, stick to your game, it's been good enough so far and it's probably going to get you over the line.

Kyren Wilson maintained a healthy five-frame lead over Jak Jones as he moved to within three frames of his first world title, leading 15-10 going into the final session.

The Englishman, 32, who is appearing in his second final, made three half-century breaks and crucially won the last frame of the session to keep his determined Welsh opponent at bay.

Jones, who is aiming to become the first qualifier to win the trophy since Shaun Murphy in 2005, had trailed 11-6 overnight but twice cut his deficit to just three frames, at 11-8 and 13-10.

The best-of-35 encounter concludes from 19:00 BST, with a maximum of 10 more frames to be played.
