If you look at Sinner’s body language he’s gone internal, Ever since that slide a few games back, I don’t think like he has looked the same.

A rapid service game to love for Daniil Medvedev.

The Russian might be a set down but he's certainly got all the momentum right now.

  5. 'Emotional exhaustion for Sun'published at 15:05 British Summer Time 9 July

    Sun 7-5 4-6 0-4 Vekic*

    Martina Navratilova
Nine-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

I think it’s just emotional exhaustion, maybe physical as well [for Sun].

She has played so many matches in the tournament and it’s cumulative, the energy within a tournament. You don’t get rid of it until the tournament is over and it’s just caught up to her.

  6. Double break for Vekicpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 9 July

    Sun 7-5 4-6 0-4 Vekic*

Donna Vekic won 15 points in a row to take control of this third set before Lulu Sun finally snapped that run.

But Vekic is in the mood now, attacking the Sun serve and when the Kiwi's forehand goes long, the Croat has another break of serve.

She is surely closing in on a first Grand Slam semi-final now...

  7. 'Medvedev should be perfect for grass'published at 15:05 British Summer Time 9 July

    Sinner 7-6 (9-7) 2-3 Medvedev*

    Pat Cash
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC 5 Live and BBC Sounds

Daniil Medvedev's shots should be perfect for grass because they are hard and they are flat. He can move too so he should be a good grass court player.

  8. Sinner holdspublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 9 July

    Sinner 7-6 (9-7) 2-3 Medvedev*

A booming cross court forehand from Daniil Medvedev brings up a second deuce, before the Russian goes long with a forehand to give game point to Jannik Sinner.

The Italian obliges with a flat backhand down the line which Medvedev can't get back to hold.

I'd just noticed that Emily, Jannik Sinner did appear to be walking a little gingerly when he went to get balls from the ball boy and girls on that last point.

One to keep an eye on.

The Italian also has to change his racquet following a broken string, before a backhand into the net brings us to deuce.

  10. Watch: Vekic takes second setpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 9 July

    *Sun 7-5 4-6 0-3 Vekic

Donna Vekic might have thought her chance was gone after three very costly double faults when serving for the second set.

But she regrouped and responded in the best way possible to break Lulu Sun and force a deciding set.

Too good on serve from Donna Vekic.

She races to another hold to love and is in control of this third and final set.

What has Lulu Sun got left in the tank as she tries to turn this around?

And with that Lulu Sun double fault, I think this match will now quickly fall in Donna Vekic's favour.

    Ashleigh Barty

You can see the increased quality of Vekic's forehand since the second set has just allowed her to get inside the court and control more of the points and ultimately give her more success.

Hmm, that's something to keep an eye on.

Jannik Sinner is walking a bit gingerly and he bends down to feel his left ankle. I wonder if he's carrying some kind of injury.

  15. Vekic breakspublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 9 July

    Sun 7-5 4-6 0-2 Vekic*

Donna Vekic has come out firing in this third set and a fierce forehand beats Lulu Sun to bring up three break points.

She only needs one as Sun double faults this time. The Croat has come from a set down, overcome a major blip serving for the second, and now leads by a break in the decider.

    Sinner 7-6 (9-7) 1-2 Medvedev*

    Todd Woodbridge

Medvedev does have the ability of changing his game up. He’s forced to because if he stays where he is, he’s not going to get this done.

That's just the start to the second set the Russian fifth seed needed.

  20. Break point Medvedevpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 9 July

    *Sinner 7-6 (9-7) 1-1 Medvedev

A mistimed forehand gives Daniil Medvedev half a chance at 0-30. There hasn't been many of those in the match so far.

    Can he make it count?

A forehand winner then gives the Russian two break points - the first of the match for either player.
