Well, well, well. What a way that is to save a set point, with Aleksandar Vukic lunging forward to get the slightest of touches for a delightful little drop shot.

And there's an unreturnable serve and a huge roar of celebration from Vukic.

    We go to a tie-break.

I can't help thinking that if Draper could mix up his shots more it will get Vukic out of his 'hitting practice' mode. More slices perhaps?

    Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 6-5 Vukic*

Aleksandar Vukic steps it up, switching direction to wrongfoot his opponent and save the set point.

But Jack Draper's got himself another as he sneaks up to the net before putting away a volley.

What can Jack Draper do here? It's set point after Aleksandar Vukic fires wide.

Aleksandar Vukic looks a little tight.

The expression on his face right just looks a little contained. It looks like he is trying to manage himself right now.

  6. Postpublished at 12:37 Greenwich Mean Time

    Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 6-5 Vukic*

Jack Draper is too flat-footed as Aleksandar Vukic lands the drop shot and he can't race forward fast enough.

The Australian forces Draper into another error. 30-30.

  7. Postpublished at 12:36 Greenwich Mean Time

    Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 6-5 Vukic*

Is this it? Jack Draper puts so much swing behind those forehands that you think he's going to overhit, but they land perfectly and are too much for Aleksandar Vukic to deal with.

The British number one has a 0-30 lead.

  8. Draper holds to lovepublished at 12:34 Greenwich Mean Time

    Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 6-5 Vukic*

Just what Jack Draper needs. An easy-peasy love hold that sends the pressure back over to the other side of the net and onto Aleksandar Vukic's shoulders.

Break here, and the British number one will force a deciding set.

    *Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 5-5 Vukic

Lovely hitting from Aleksandar Vukic, who lunges off the court and into a wicked backhand that fizzes straight down the line.

"YES!" he shouts again as he gets the hold. The Australian knows how important that could prove.

Alek is serving great. Too many errors from Jack. It will go to five sets, too close to call here in Melbourne.

  11. Draper holds to lovepublished at 12:29 Greenwich Mean Time

    Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 5-4 Vukic*

Anything you can do I can do better, says Jack Draper as he overpowers his opponent for a straightforward love hold.

It's getting to crunch time for the British number one. A break here would be perfect.

  12. 'It is throwing Draper's timing off'published at 12:26 Greenwich Mean Time

    *Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 4-4 Vukic

    Chanda Rubin
American former world number six on 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

There has been a little more spin and kick from Vukic which is throwing Draper's timing off.

Draper is often expecting a shot that is a little bit quicker because that is what Vukic has been going to most often in this match.

  13. Vukic holds to lovepublished at 12:26 Greenwich Mean Time

    *Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 4-4 Vukic

Not much Jack Draper can do there. Two big forehand winners and an ace that he can get nowhere near.

    On we go...

  14. Draper holdspublished at 12:23 Greenwich Mean Time

    Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 4-3 Vukic*

A big sigh of relief from Jack Draper. That mistake could have come back to bite him, but he keeps his cool to make his way back and edge ahead with a forehand winner.

  15. Break point Vukicpublished at 12:21 Greenwich Mean Time

    *Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 3-3 Vukic

Oh no! Jack Draper, what was that?

The British number one thinks Aleksandar Vukic has missed the court and leaves his return, but it lands well before the baseline.

    Break point.

  16. Pegula trails by a set and a breakpublished at 12:20 Greenwich Mean Time

    *Danilovic 7-6 (7-3) 3-1 Pegula

Over on Rod Laver Arena, American seventh seed Jessica Pegula trails by a set and a break to Serbia's Olga Danilovic.

Is there an upset on the cards?

Unseeded Danilovic looks settled at the moment and, assisted by a decent amount of Serbian supporters who have hung around after Novak Djokovic's win, she looks well on track to end Pegula's Australian Open run here.

Pegula has made the quarter-finals in Melbourne three times but never got further than that.

    *Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 3-3 Vukic

It's not the way Jack Draper will have wanted to entertain the crowd, but they lap it up as he makes a joke of his own massive mishit into the sky, trying his best to catch it.

He almost has the ball in his grasp before dropping it and the crowd let out a groan, but there's a big smile on Draper's face.

It's quickly wiped away as Aleksandar Vukic gets the hold.

  18. Draper holdspublished at 12:15 Greenwich Mean Time

    Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 3-2 Vukic*

Brilliant from Jack Draper, who holds his nerve and saves all three break points to take us to deuce.

The British number one is nearly caught out with a lacklustre drop shot, but Aleksandar Vukic can't make the most of it with a sloppy push into the net.

And there's another ace. Phew - that is a massive hold for Draper.

  19. Break points Vukicpublished at 12:12 Greenwich Mean Time

Oh dear. This could turn ugly for Jack Draper very soon.
