Clever from Aleksandar Vukic, advancing into the net with every shot and eventually saving the first break point with an overhead smash.

Jack Draper slams into the net on his second opportunity and is that the chance gone for the Brit?

Jack Draper is just playing against a guy who has found an inspired level of tennis.

This is where he has got to get down, match him, compete and try to find his own openings.

If you think about all the tennis these two men have played so far, with the couple of five setters they have had, it might not be ideal that they are far into this battle - but you have to go with it.

    Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 2-1 Vukic*

A ridiculous shot from Aleksandar Vukic round the net has even Jack Draper applauding.

The Brit skews one wide to give the Australian a glimmer at 30-30 but Draper plays well in a couple of rallies to take the hold.

Both of these players have produced some big serving this match. Aleksandar Vukic slams down his 18th of the match, that's the same tally as Jack Draper.

Vukic navigates a tricky service game to take the hold.

  8. 'Hard for Draper to figure out where to go'published at 11:57 Greenwich Mean Time

It's been hard for Jack Draper to figure out where to go against Vukic.

He is trying to use his forehand inside-out to Vukic's forehand, but Vukic has also been steady on his backhand side. He isn't as dangerous on his backhand but he can create a little uncertainty with it.

Jack Draper takes the hold with an ace to get up and running in set four.

It must feel like a long way back at this point for the Brit.

Jack Draper emerges from the locker room and gets off to a tricky start in his opening service game of set four.

He gets out to 30-15 with some big serving but Alexander Vukic is moving well and draws level.

Perhaps a wise move for Jack Draper to go back to the locker room and cool off.

Maybe a quick splash of icy water round the chops can bring clarity to his mind.

He gives some to the crowd before he does so, though, waving his arms in the air and grabbing his left knee.

    *Draper 6-4 2-6 5-7 0-0 Vukic

There are boos from the Melbourne crowd towards Jack Draper. His antics with the racquet have delayed Aleksandar Vukic from taking his serve to try and wrap up the third set.

But it doesn't seem to have affected the world number 68 one bit as he lands a blistering ace. What pressure?!

Jack Draper shouts a four-letter expletive as he sits down on his chair at the changeover before the 12th game.

Then, to the delight of the Aussie fans, nukes his racquet.

The pressure of the situation has seen Draper explode.

And the home crowd, now more oiled and more excitable, love it.

There goes the racquet. Jack Draper smashes it to pieces, losing his temper as Aleksandar Vukic claws his way back and brings up a set point.

Nicely done, Jack. A drop shot catches Aleksandar Vukic off guard and the Australian lashes the next point into the net. 0-30.

OH MY WORD! Jack Draper raises a clenched fist in celebration as he angles a brilliant backhand around the net to kiss the back corner of the net. Two break back points.

This is not what I would have scripted at all.

Jack Draper can only stare and wonder what just happened. He had served so beautifully up until that stage so maybe he just lost a bit of leg drive or a little bit of push in his shots.

What a time for it - Vukic will now serve for this third set.

Both players have put a lot of work in and it's a terrible feeling to have given away your service game in that way.

Judging by the amount of flags, shirts and scarves around Melbourne Park, looks like half of the city's Serbian huge community have pitched up tonight.

Novak Djokovic was, of course, the star attraction.

But thousands of Serbs have stayed around for Olga Danilovic's match against Jessica Pegula and, if they're not on Laver, to watch Vukic against Draper on the big screens.

Vukic, as you would have guessed by his name, has Serbian and Montenegrin heritage.

Massive cheers from the fans outside as he break Draper's serve.

Deary, deary me. Jack Draper has served brilliantly in this third set, but it's all gone wrong there.

Another double fault and now it's Aleksandar Vukic has the chance to serve it out and move one step closer to the fourth round.

  19. Break point Vukicpublished at 11:39 Greenwich Mean Time

    *Draper 6-4 2-6 5-5 Vukic

Jack Draper goes for the spectacular, trying to deal with the clever lob by turning his back to the rest of the court and whipping over a backhand - but it's well wide. Nice try.

Aleksandar Vukic keeps up the pressure to go level at 30-30 and it tells as Draper double faults.

  20. Vukic holdspublished at 11:36 Greenwich Mean Time

    *Draper 6-4 2-6 5-5 Vukic

Aleksandar Vukic looks in control of his service game at 30-0, but there must be some nerves at play as he hits a wild forehand and then misjudges a lob completely.

He pulls it together when it matters though, with two aces taking us to 5-5.
