  1. Medvedev breakspublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 27 May

    *Medvedev 5-7 1-4 Norrie

Daniil Medvedev temporarily looks as though he has mentally checked out of this second set, showing little interest as he hits a backhand out and Cameron Norrie moves clear on serve.

But the Russian's interest increases as he's helped to 40-30 by a Norrie miss, and he races on to a backhand for deuce.

And, allowing himself to focus on the tennis again, Medvedev puts together a decent run of points to claw one break back in this second set.

This scoreline doesn't surprise me. It feels like Cameron Norrie is really starting to impose himself and he is really winding up Daniil Medvedev. He is unravelling emotionally down the other end.

I feel a bit sorry for his coach because he keeps gesturing for him to go away with his hands. We have seen his coach get up and walk out before, he isn't going to accept how he's being treated up there, but Medvedev needs to calm down and take responsibility for what is going on.

There isn't a lot his coach can do from the stands...

    Another break!

Cameron Norrie is playing a solid game but Daniil Medvedev is missing a lot here. It's 4-0 to the British number two, now in complete control of this set - and the match.

    *Medvedev 5-7 0-3 Norrie

Daniil Medvedev sets his frustrations aside to execute a fine point, which he settles by sliding in to a volley.

He then channels some of that simmering anger into an ace, and then smacks a forehand out of Norrie's reach as he puts together one of his best runs of points.

But Cameron Norrie denies him an easy escape and takes the 11th seed to deuce.

  5. Norrie holds servepublished at 11:22 British Summer Time 27 May

    *Medvedev 5-7 0-3 Norrie

There is, I believe, a full-blown argument going on between Daniil Medvedev and his coach, punctuated by each point but resumed quickly after.

This is going exactly as Cameron Norrie would have hoped. He is in the ascendancy - and holds to 15 to move 3-0 up - while his opponent is currently battling his own emotions, and his coach.

    Medvedev 5-7 0-2 Norrie*

    Superb from Cameron Norrie!

The British number two strikes early in the second set to continue building momentum in this match, while on the opposite side of the net Daniil Medvedev's mood is only worsening with each game that passes at the moment.

    *Medvedev 5-7 0-1 Norrie

The crowd are really getting into this now, with the stands beginning to fill with each game.

Cameron Norrie impresses with a delightful, angled drop shot and then reaches 30-30 with a forehand winner down the line.

Cue another outburst from Daniil Medvedev. The 11th seed makes a backhand for 40-30 but then misses to bring Norrie to deuce.

  8. Norrie holds servepublished at 11:13 British Summer Time 27 May

    *Medvedev 5-7 0-1 Norrie

The players return, with Daniil Medvedev in a somewhat calmer mood than when he walked off the court a few minutes ago.

The 11th seed finds a forehand winner to make a positive start to the second set, but he's passed at the net by Norrie as the Briton regains control of his opening service game.

An excellent drop shot from Norrie does not help Medvedev's mood - a thumbs down is directed at his team - and the British number two is up and running.

  9. 'Medvedev is leaving the court to stew and get it all off his chest'published at 11:10 British Summer Time 27 May

Daniil Medvedev is sitting down and is still bellowing back towards his team. He is gesturing with his hands as if to tell them to go away.

He is leaving the court now to stew and get it all off his chest. Maybe he'll come back a bit calmer and more composed.

But that was a disastrous finish to the first set for Medvedev, and it all started with Cameron Norrie's underarm serve.

    Medvedev 5-7 0-0 Norrie*

Both players have left the court before the second set - in rather contrasting moods.

Daniil Medvedev is still shouting at his team as he exits Court Simonne Mathieu, followed closely by Cameron Norrie who will be rightfully delighted with how that first hour has played out.

  11. Game and first set - Norriepublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 27 May

    Medvedev 5-7 0-0 Norrie*

Celebrations for Cameron Norrie, the Briton has the first set!

Daniil Medvedev is absolutely livid and his coach receives the brunt of his anger.

From 5-4 down, Norrie wins three consecutive games to move ahead. Great effort.

  12. Set point Norriepublished at 11:04 British Summer Time 27 May

    *Medvedev 5-6 Norrie

Cameron Norrie has a first set point!

A superb rally on a huge fifth point at 30-30 goes the Briton's way as Norrie volleys out of Daniil Medvedev's reach.

The Russian is furious - and his mood will certainly not improve if he loses this point...

  13. Postpublished at 11:01 British Summer Time 27 May

    *Medvedev 5-6 Norrie

Cameron Norrie is reading the points exceptionally well right now and Daniil Medvedev is just looking a little bit stuck as he searches for a way out of this set.

The British number two shakes his fist and draws applause from the crowd as he takes the first point on Medvedev's serve, and the Russian then sends a forehand just wide for 15-30.

    *Medvedev 5-6 Norrie

Cameron Norrie sees off the break point and holds after Daniil Medvedev slices wide, putting the Briton within reach of the first set.

Can he strike a big blow again here on Medvedev's serve after the Russian cracked while serving for the set?

  15. 'Medvedev's brain is a little bit scrambled at the moment'published at 10:57 British Summer Time 27 May

    Medvedev 5-5 Norrie*

This is extraordinary. We are seeing a total capitulation of Daniil Medvedev's level.

Since that underarm service attempt, he just hasn't been able to extend the rallies, he hasn't hung in there, he has made plenty of unforced errors.

You almost feel like you're not trusting Medvedev's game. It seems as though his brain is a little bit scrambled at the moment.

  16. Norrie saves break pointpublished at 10:57 British Summer Time 27 May

    Medvedev 5-5 Norrie*

Cameron Norrie has never won a set in his four defeats by Daniil Medvedev, but he's put himself back into a great position here.

Or so it seems, until Medvedev responds to his setback by reaching break point.

But on a huge sixth point Norrie holds his nerve to stay in a rally before volleying in for deuce.

  17. Norrie breaks backpublished at 10:54 British Summer Time 27 May

    Medvedev 5-5 Norrie*

Big miss from Daniil Medvedev and Cameron Norrie is still alive in this first set!

That's a poor game from the 11th seed but every credit to Norrie, he played it one point at a time and took full advantage.

This game is a free hit for Cameron Norrie - and he has come out swinging.

Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

Wow! Oh my goodness - well that underarm serve woke us all up.

Cameron Norrie is getting a few wolf whistles from the crowd, I have never seen him do that.

That was quite smart actually because it did throw Daniil Medvedev off and Cameron Norrie got the next point too.

  20. Norrie holds servepublished at 10:50 British Summer Time 27 May

    *Medvedev 5-4 Norrie

    Ooh cheeky!

Cameron Norrie goes for the underarm serve to try and catch out Daniil Medvedev, who is stood well behind the baseline, but he catches the net instead. The crowd really enjoyed that one.

Almost brilliant - although I'm not sure Medvedev would have seen it that way.

Norrie resets and sees out the game to force the 11th seed to try and serve out the set.
