  4. Sinner holds to take leadpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 1-0 Nardi*

Jannik Sinner in a nutshell, there.

Luca Nardi thinks he's got the world number one where he wants him at 15-0, but he hits a brilliant double-handed backhand down the line to level up.

The three-time Grand Slam winner makes light work of his opening service game, finishing up with an exquisite 97mph forehand volley.

In that last game, you felt like it was maybe going to be Clara Tauson's moment.

She had so many opportunities on short balls and second serves. The ball was really sitting up for her but she just wasn't able to take them. So now we have this see-saw effect in terms of who we think might pull through this final set.

Heather Watson has been physically sharper, but it will come down to whether she can hold her nerve.

  8. Tauson holdspublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 1 July

    Tauson 2-6 6-4 3-3 Watson*

Clara Tauson has defended one break point in this third set but has looked pretty comfortable in the rest of her service games.

Leading 40-0, Tauson attempts a tweener and it goes horribly wrong.

The Dane wraps up the hold on the next point.

  9. 'This crowd knows Monday will be back'published at 13:01 British Summer Time 1 July

    Monday 4-6 4-6 2-6 Paul

    Ryan Harrison
Former American tennis player on BBC TV

A great experience out there for Johannus Monday. He is a guy that is just starting out in his career.

He has earned this opportunity - it's not like he has come out of nowhere - he is sitting around 200 in the world singles rankings.

He fought hard to be here and this crowd knows that he will be back.

  10. Watson holdspublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Tauson 2-6 6-4 2-3 Watson

Heather Watson follows that double fault with just her second ace of the match to get back to advantage.

A superb drop shot from Clara Tauson leaves Watson scrambling and her return is into the net for third deuce.

Watson comes through her toughest service game of the third set.

  11. 'Paul was so impressive out there'published at 12:58 British Summer Time 1 July

    Monday 4-6 4-6 2-6 Paul

    Ryan Harrison
Former American tennis player on BBC TV

Tommy Paul was so impressive out there, taking three comfortable straight sets. It is a hot day out there today so to get through in routine fashion is great.

He gets to go back to the locker room now and take care of the ab injury that has been bugging him for the last month or so.

It will have been good for him to get a bit of a test on it, rather than a longer match.

  12. Second deucepublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 1 July

    Tauson 2-6 6-4 2-2 Watson*

Heather Watson leads 40-30 and has the opportunity to close out the hold but a poorly executed drop shot lands low into the net for deuce.

    Nerves?

Clara Tauson goes too big with a forehand to give Watson advantage but it's back to second deuce after a double fault.

    Monday 4-6 4-6 2-6 Paul

Tommy Paul, speaking to BBC Sport, after his victory against Johannus Monday: "The scoreline lies a little bit. He (Monday) has a great serve and is a tough guy to break. He had a couple of break points earlier in the match that made me nervous but I started serving a little better.

Paul on playing at Wimbledon: "I love playing on grass. It doesn't get any better than at Wimbledon. It feels extra good coming out here."

Paul on his form: "We'll have to see. I haven't played too many matches but I've been practising (on grass) a fair bit. I'm just happy to get through today."

  14. Tauson holdspublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 1 July

    Tauson 2-6 6-4 2-2 Watson*

Clara Tauson gives Heather Watson the runaround before eventually firing a winner into the corner for 30-0.

The Dane adds another couple of points to get a comfortable hold to love.

  15. game, set and match

Game, set and match - Paulpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 1 July

    Monday 4-6 4-6 2-6 Paul

Johannus Monday's Wimbledon is over after a spirited straight-sets defeat by Tommy Paul.

The American looked in great form there after his recent struggles with injury, with an impressive all-round display in one hour and 43 minutes.

But what a great experience for Monday, who held his own as he faced a top-100 opponent for the first time in a main draw.

    He'll be back for sure.

Heather Watson's struggles with landing a first serve persist - just two of 10 in this third set - but the Briton does get the hold to 15.

Clara Tauson goes big attacking Watson's second serve when trailing 40-15 and forces the return long.

  17. Mixed emotionspublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 1 July

    Tauson 2-6 6-4 1-1 Watson*

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

A game of mixed emotions for Heather Watson there. She let out her biggest roar of the match after a great winner to give her break point, but groaned and threw a fist downwards as Clara Tauson battled back to hold. A break would have been big there.

  18. Paul breaks againpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 1 July

    Monday 4-6 4-6 2-5 Paul*

It's a double-break for Tommy Paul and he's one game away from a place in the second round.

The American was forced wide on Johannus Monday's serve but hit a stunning forehand cross-court winner to 15-30 up.

The Brit then hits consecutive forehand returns into the net to give Paul his fourth break of the match.

  19. 'Tauson will definitely be feeling under threat'published at 12:47 British Summer Time 1 July

    Tauson 2-6 6-4 1-1 Watson*

    Mel South
Former British player on BBC Two

Clara Tauson will definitely be feeling under threat out there.

There is plenty more pressure on her shoulders right now.

She just has to keep making those small goals for herself, taking one game at a time.
