For the outside courts at Wimbledon, could they not just have something simple like a temporary canopy/gazebo structure that could be quickly put up/taken down as per the weather????

The Brits were outclassed by their opponents in the final set.

Flavio Cobolli hit just eight unforced errors in that second set compared to Jakub Mensik's 17.

Mirra Andreeva is through to the round of 16 once again!

Some big serving gives the Russian two break points at 40-15 and Hailey Baptiste nets her forehand return under pressure.

Things couldn't have been much more straightforward for the 18-year-old, who needed just one hour and 18 minutes to seal a straight sets victory.

All of the seeds are falling in SW19, but the seventh seed fights to play another game in this year's championships!

She will face either Barbora Krejcikova or Emma Navarro in the next round. They are next up on court one.

  9. Martinez holdspublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 5 July

    *Sinner 6-1 1-2 Martinez

    Good hold from Pedro Martinez.

The serve is no stronger than it was in the first set but Jannik Sinner's been a bit complacent in the second set and it's giving the Spaniard some room to breathe.

  11. Sinner holdspublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 5 July

    Sinner 6-1 1-1 Martinez*

A pretty stodgy hold from Jannik Sinner.

It's never easy when your opponent isn't at full strength and appears to be carrying an issue.

Nevertheless, the Italian puts us back on serve in this second set with a stunning backhanded drop shot.

  12. Baptiste holdspublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 5 July

    *Andreeva 6-1 5-3 Baptiste

Hailey Baptiste is hanging in here.

The American takes an important service hold, sealed by a magnificent 118mph ace, to prolong this third round match.

  13. game, set and match

Game, set and match - Samsonovapublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 5 July

    Kasatkina 6-2 6-3 Samsonova

Liudmila Samsonova may not have trailed on the scoreboard today, but it is still never easy to serve out a match.

The 19th seed sets herself up with two match points but can't take either as she gets distracted by some crowd noise from outside drifting onto court.

Fourth time lucky for Samsonova and she finally gets over the line against former quarter-finalist Kasatkina and now heads into the second week of Wimbledon for the second time.

    Andreeva 6-1 5-2 Baptiste*

Mirra Andreeva has the service hold after six deuce points!

Five break point opportunities come and go for Hailey Baptiste. She will be devastated with that, especially after winning some wonderful points at the net and giving the game away with a backhand into the net.

The 18-year-old Russian lets out a huge roar. She is made of steel, I'm convinced of it.

  16. Martinez holdspublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 5 July

    *Sinner 6-1 0-1 Martinez

The crowd give Pedro Martinez huge encouragement as he goes 40-30 up, before Jannik Sinner hits a simple forehand wide to give the Spaniard a hold.

I feel for Martinez here. He is a great person and has a great work ethic.

He will feel terrible that his shoulder is not where he wants it to be. But hopefully the medic can help him to work his magic.
