I think Joao Fonseca just called for the trainer for a second time before levelling at 4-4 with that delightful drop shot, which receives the appropriate admiration from the crowd.

We’ll find out at the next change of ends but he was pointing to his upper right leg, having had treatment on his ankle earlier in the match.

He might be a break up by then though! A huge swing of the fist follows a winner which brings up three break points - and the crowd to their feet.

It's a fine line, isn't it? We commend Jan-Lennard Struff when he goes for his shots and he makes some winners, but he just went for too much there.

Three double faults in one service game makes it a difficult one to hold.

    BIG hold for Nicolas Jarry.

A huge roar from Joao Fonseca as he passes Jarry at the net to bring up break point at 30-40.

It's a tremendous response from Jarry though, sending Fonseca scurrying to his right but unable to retrieve a powerful forehand.

That's the first of three break points saved by Jarry before he eventually wins the game.

Struff is being very brave and he is staying true to his type of tennis. The standard is really starting to pick up here.

The weight and pace of shot from Struff has started to pick up and Alcaraz is struggling with the strength from the big German.

There was one excellent point at the net in there that prompted a shake of the fist by Carlos Alcaraz but otherwise it was more frustrated looks at the ground from the world number two as he just had no answer to some of Jan-Lennard Struff's big hitting.

Alcaraz has a battle on - not for the first time at this tournament.

Jan-Lennard Struff has definitely settled in now. He is showing the type of tennis that he is capable of. It was all one-way traffic to begin with, but Struff has definitely established himself in this match.

He is building pressure on Carlos Alcaraz's serve and applying scoreboard pressure here.

    “Jooo-owwww!”

    “Fonseccccaaa!”

That back-and-forth chant has been the backdrop of much of this match, since Joao Fonseca’s fans really livened up with their star man a set and a break down.

It continues to echo around court two between points, as they hope to have an influence on this finely poised fourth set.

He’s got plenty of work still to do if that’s to become the sound of the summer at SW19.

Much, much better from Jan-Lennard Struff.

The German's mixing up his serve - both in terms of speed and direction - to keep Carlos Alcaraz guessing.

    He holds to 15.
