    Alcaraz 5-7 5-2 Tiafoe*

Carlos Alcaraz is revitalised after that break.

As well as Frances Tiafoe is returning - and he is returning superbly - Alcaraz is able to get the better of him, producing a wonderful passing shot.

But Tiafoe is not going away easily. He takes it to deuce but the third seed holds with a textbook serve and volley. No doubt Tim Henman on commentary enjoyed that one.

    Break consolidated.

Carlos Alcaraz makes a big breakthrough.

Frances Tiafoe had 40-15 but it's the Spaniard that breaks first in this second set.

He was in a similar position as he was in the first set but wasn't able to take advantage. Will it be a different story here?

Frances Tiafoe finds the net and there is a huge roar from Carlos Alcaraz. He's pumped up now!

Tiafoe had saved the first break point with a big first serve but more brilliance at the net earned Alcaraz another and this time he would not be denied.

This second set is tense. Paula Badosa is frustrated and Daria Kasatkina must be able to sense a way back in.

    We remain on serve, however.

  5. Break point for Alcarazpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 5 July

    Alcaraz 5-7 3-2 Tiafoe*

Oh yes. A brilliant one-two from Frances Tiafoe.

A thumping forehand that sends Carlos Alcaraz scrambling to the backhand side, followed by a deft - and well-disguised - drop shot.

But Alcaraz soon shows what he is capable of. Great touch at the net and, in the blink of an eye, he's brought up break point...

"There you go!" That's what one man shouts behind me as Frances Tiafoe lands a delightful drop shot.

There's a father and son in front of me who jump up and fist pump the air, too.

  7. 'Alcaraz will be working hard to get back on level terms'published at 14:54 British Summer Time 5 July

    Alcaraz 5-7 3-2 Tiafoe*

    Tim Henman
Former British number one on BBC TV

Carlos Alcaraz would much rather be a set up than a set down but this is a Grand Slam, it's best of five sets. He'll be working extremely hard to get back on level terms in this second set.

Two sets to love down is a long way back. Frances Tiafoe was able to do it in the first round.

Alcaraz will be looking to avoid that situation.

After being pushed so hard on his serve at the end of that first set, Carlos Alcaraz will be delighted to secure another straightforward hold.

It's a hold to love this time. No messing about.

  10. 'Dream to play in this stadium' - Paolinipublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 5 July

    Paolini 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 Andreescu

Jasmine Paolini on her performance in defeating Bianca Andreescu:

"I was enjoying a lot. It was really nice to play out here in front of you guys, You are so many. It's a dream to play in this kind of stadium. I think I played a good match and I hope you enjoyed.

    On becoming a crowd favourite:

"I hope so! Thank you for cheering for me. It's so important to have the stadium full and I really, really enjoyed.

On how difficult it was to be aggressive against Andreecu:

"It was really tough. I think she can play really good. I tried to be aggressive because if not, I have to run so much if she controls the points so the goal for me was to control the points from the beginning with the serve and with the return and I think I did quite good job.

On growing in confidence in grass:

"Yes you know, I am enjoying. It's really fun to play here. I like to volley. Of course I play many doubles this year so I think it helped me but yeah, it's really to play on grass I think."

    Paolini 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 Andreescu

    Marion Bartoli
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

Jasmine Paolini has been playing absolutely incredible tennis. Just the brand of tennis that you felt for her size is very difficult to play because yes of course she can absorb the pace well, she can be a very good retriever, but she has an attacking game.

Reaching the fourth round matches his best ever finish at Wimbledon as the 12th seed took just one hour and 25 minutes to beat Bublik.

    *Alcaraz 5-7 2-2 Tiafoe

    Magic from Carlos Alcaraz.

A magnificent backhand lob to snatch the point when Frances Tiafoe was in complete control of the point.

It was inch-perfect. Another one a couple of points later isn't quite so good but it's good enough to get Tiafoe stretching and missing with the overhead.

Tiafoe keeps his cool, though, and gets the hold.

Frances Tiafoe raised his levels and I think he thoroughly deserved to win the first set.

There won't be any panic from Carlos Alcaraz, he has been down before.

He needs a strong start in this second set.

Jasmine Paolini is playing phenomenal tennis. She is taking all of Bianca Andreescu's power off the baseline and converting it into shots that Andreescu just can't get to.
