That's what you love to see. A bit of fun between the players after Carlos Alcaraz challenges a call.

Frances Tiafoe waves it away smiling, as if it's a ridiculous decision, and Alcaraz shrugs his shoulders with a big grin when his opponent is proved right.

Frances Tiafoe is doing the business at the net now.

From 0-30, after a wasted challenge from Carlos Alcaraz, the American just seizes control of the game with a powerful forehand to the Spaniard's backhand, finishing the point off at the net.

Another volley and then a superb drop shot take him to break point. This time it is a fantastic return that wins him the point. Superb from Tiafoe.

He will now serve for the first set.

I'm actually liking Frances Tiafoe's chances at the moment. I think he's been playing quite a solid set of tennis. I think he's coming out and sticking to a game plan.

I'm not sure Carlos Alcaraz has hit his straps just yet.

Jasmine Paolini has kept the pressure on. Every game Bianca Andreescu has struggled on her serve. Paolini has been holding easily, being really aggressive in the middle of the court.

Paolini is just capitalising and not making any unforced errors but point for point, this is a close match.
