The line judge did a quick shuffle over to the umpire, told her something and then a warning was issued to Thiago Seyboth Wild for unsportsmanlike conduct.

It wasn’t clear exactly what happened but maybe the line judge is fluent in Portuguese?

  7. How fit will Djokovic be?published at 14:52 British Summer Time 2 July

    Kopriva v Djokovic

Defying all expectations, and proving doubters wrong, is the fuel that fires Novak Djokovic.

Coming from a huge deficit to overtake both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in terms of total Grand Slam victories is the greatest example.

Another is the way which the 24-time major champion has fought through physical issues to earn some of his biggest successes.

Winning a record-equalling eighth Wimbledon men's title, after having surgery on a knee injury on 5 June, would arguably be his most confounding feat.

"I didn't come here to play a few rounds," said the 37-year-old Serb. "I really want to go for the title. I don't see myself holding back."

He's next up on Centre Court, with a match against Vit Kopriva of the Czech Republic.

    Jonathan Jurejko

    The smiles are out now.

The Murray brothers are having fun as they head towards the end of their practice session.

Andy ribs Jamie over a serve, then gives Jonny O’Mara some stick.

Murray junior also laughs when a fan adopts a fake Scottish drawl and shouts “Come on Andyyyyy!” through a mesh fence.

The fan? Fellow British player Jodie Burrage.

The current scene on court 14 as Paul Jubb’s fight to the second round continues.

Where are the players you might ask? Well, I asked the same thing after I’d been moving between courts.

There’s a light drizzle here but it would make the grass extremely slippery, making it unsafe to play.

Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, who has never won a Grand Slam match in her career, is two holds of serve away from dumping the reigning champion out of Wimbledon on Centre Court. A big story brewing.
