  2. Gauff holdspublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Dolehide 1-6 0-3 Gauff

It's becoming difficult to really describe what is taking place here.

Coco Gauff is flying through these games without blinking.

Caroline Dolehide manages to level at 30-30 but there's an inevitability about how these games finish with Gauff powering over the line.

  3. 'Relentless from Gauff'published at 19:31 British Summer Time 1 July

    Dolehide 1-6 0-2 Gauff*

    Ashleigh Barty
Three-time Grand Slam champion on BBC TV

  4. Gauff breakspublished at 19:31 British Summer Time 1 July

    Dolehide 1-6 0-2 Gauff*

Caroline Dolehide's two previous meetings with compatriot Coco Gauff have ended in straight set defeats and it looks like that's going to stretch to three.

Dolehide takes the first point on serve but Gauff quickly reasserts her dominance to win to 15.

    Gauff looks imperious today.

  5. Britain's Kartal levels matchpublished at 19:31 British Summer Time 1 July

    Cirstea 6-3 2-6 Kartal*

A winner down the line gives the Brit an equalising set.

She made just four unforced errors in that whole second set.

    *Sinner 6-3 6-4 1-4 Hanfmann

    Marion Bartoli
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

At 4-1, if Jannik Sinner comes back to make it 4-2, that will be a very tricky service game to serve for Yannick Hanfmann.

  7. Gauff holdspublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Dolehide 1-6 0-1 Gauff

The Coco Gauff train just keeps rolling on as, for the third time in this match, she takes a game to love.

Gauff really isn't keen on sticking around on Centre Court for too long and that's a real shame for those in attendance, although on this evidence she could be in the mix for the full two-week stretch at SW19.

  8. Sinner breakspublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Sinner 6-3 6-4 1-4 Hanfmann

There's one back for Jannik Sinner.

A powerful return puts Yannick Hanfmann off balance and he plinks the ball into the net.

Is that the start of the comeback in this set for Sinner?

Some silky skills from Coco Gauff, who sends back a first-serve let with a flick of the foot.

But any questions over whether she's picked the wrong sport are quickly put to bed as she wraps up the opener after 30 minutes.

It just shows the growth in Coco’s game to use the whole court, and to mount up the pressure.

  11. Game and first set - Gauffpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 1 July

She quickly asserts dominance as soon as the two enter a rally and is making it look easy.

  12. 'Hanfmann gambled on the defence'published at 19:24 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 6-3 6-4 0-4 Hanfmann*

    Marion Bartoli
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

Yannick Hanfmann gambled on the defence, just deciding to cover the forehand and it paid dividends because he was right on that ball to get the defence back with interest.

He can hit brilliant winners and he is a double break up.

  13. Hanfmann breaks againpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 6-3 6-4 0-4 Hanfmann*

Double break for Yannick Hanfmann - and what a way to get it.

Double-handed backhand, fizzed into the corner and no chance for Jannik Sinner to get to it.

The world number one looks like he might be forced into a fourth set. He needs to get himself going sharpish if he is going to avoid it.

  14. 'Uncomfortable for Sinner'published at 19:21 British Summer Time 1 July

It's uncomfortable when you start to lose your edge and a bit of confidence when you take these tumbles and certainly hitting the turf like Jannik Sinner did there.

  15. 'Dolehide needs to change rhythm'published at 19:20 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Dolehide 1-5 Gauff

    Tracy Austin
Two-time Grand Slam champion on BBC TV

You can see Dolehide trying to hit deep and fast to that forehand but Gauff is handling that beautifully.

Part of the game plan would be to use that backhand slice, just to change the rhythm.

Wow. Coco Gauff lifts a clenched fist above her head in celebration.

The crowd on Centre Court erupt as Gauff, after looking like she was out of the rally, clips the baseline with a delightful lob.

The second seed is firing on all cylinders at the moment and closing in on the set.

  17. Gauff firmly in controlpublished at 19:19 British Summer Time 1 July

  18. Gauff breaks once morepublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 1 July

    Dolehide 1-4 Gauff*

Dolehide hits long which gives Gauff a healthy advantage in this first set.

At 40-40, Gauff and Dolehide exchanged a brilliant long rally before Gauff hit, what seemed, a wild backhand lob but it dropped in.

    The crowd loved that one.

  19. 'Hanfmann rewarded with the break'published at 19:15 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 6-3 6-4 0-2 Hanfmann*

    Mark Woodforde
17-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

Yannick Hanfmann has been knocking on the door, that is well deserved.

He has been rewarded with the break but now the hard work begins.

    Consolidation ahead.

  20. Hanfmann breakspublished at 19:12 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 6-3 6-4 0-2 Hanfmann*

Yannick Hanfmann is credited with attempting 11 drop shots so far in this match - it feels like more - and has won the point nine times.

Based on that he should be trying a few more!

Regardless, the German started the third set well, holding serve and then going up 0-30 on Jannik Sinner's serve, eventually forcing a break point.

Sinner then drags a forehand wide and Hanfmann is a break up in the third. This wasn't in the script.
