Labour conference: Miliband on Scotland referendum
Ed Miliband said the Team Scotland of Labour politicians "helped save our country" in the Scottish independence vote, after "our country nearly broke up".
The Labour leader named Gordon Brown, Alistair Darling, Margaret Curran, Douglas Alexander, Jim Murphy, Anas Sarwar and Johann Lamont as he told the delegates in Manchester: "They helped save our country".
And he said all political leaders had to explain why "45% of people wanted to break up our country" as he recounted meeting a cleaner called Josephine and her views as she was thinking of supporting independence.
