A statement from Apple says it doesn't think it "appropriate" that it gives "permission for third party access to an account". 

The family of Morgan Hehir, a 20-year-old stabbed to death in Nuneaton, want to access his laptop so they can see his pictures and music but needs the company to unlock his security codes.

Technology firm Apple says it takes the privacy and security of customer's personal information very seriously and "in the absence of permission for third party access it is impossible to be certain what access the user would have wanted".

The statement goes on to say the company can assist "subject to the appropriate court order".

Morgan's father, Colin Hehir, said it would cost thousands to pursue that route.

Passengers are being warned of disruption on rail links to London from tomorrow.

Chiltern Railways are shutting sections of the track between Leamington Spa, Banbury and Bicester North for nine days. 

Replacement buses will be running.

Warwickshire have switched next month's Second XI Championship local derby against Worcestershire to Edgbaston to be played under floodlights - with a pink ball.

The game was originally scheduled to be staged from 15-17 August at Barnt Green Cricket Club, but it will now be staged a week later at Edgbaston (22-24 August).

As part of an England & Wales Cricket Board trial, the two teams will use a pink Dukes ball for two innings of the match and a pink Kookaburra ball for two innings.

"We have a long tradition of staging day/night cricket on this ground," said Warwickshire chief executive Neil Snowball. “The concept of day/night cricket has attracted a large amount of interest around the world and we are keen to support the ECB by exploring the potential for these fixtures."

The pink ball will be in use in England for the first time since Kent and Glamorgan experimented with it in a Country Championship game at Canterbury in September 2011.

The father of Morgan Hehir, a young man killed in an unprovoked attack, says technology company Apple are demanding a court order before they'll allow the family access to photographs and music held on his son's laptop.

The 20-year-old died after being stabbed with a steak knife in the street in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, on Halloween last year.

His father, Colin Hehir, said Apple were "helpful at first" but after providing them with death and probate certificates "they said they needed a court order to unlock the data".

"They can help but seemingly they don't want to," he said.

Apple have been approached for a comment.

Nuneaton Town has come to the aid of the Sky Blues to provide the opposition for its final pre-season friendly.

The Sky Blues were supposed to face Doncaster Rovers this evening but Rovers pulled out because of injury problems.

The Boro stepped in and so it's a second friendly between the two sides.

Coventry won 2-1 at The Coombe Abbey Arena three weeks ago.
