A man needed hospital treatment after being bitten by a dog, external in a park in Leamington Spa.
The 20-year-old was walking adjacent to Westlea Road when he was approached by a black dog, believed to be a labrador.
The dog, which was not on a lead and appeared to be unaccompanied, bit the man's hand, leaving an injury that required hospital treatment.
Police are today appealing for witnesses to the incident - which happened on Tuesday, 5 July - in a bid to trace the owner.
A campaign to ensure there are at least three fast trains in Coventry is under way amid fears of cuts to make way for speedier services to Birmingham, external.
Jim O'Boyle, Coventry City Council's cabinet member for jobs and regeneration, said he would not support a reduction in stops at Coventry in any InterCity West Coast services. He's been speaking in response to the government's consultation on the franchise.
"It's not acceptable that we could see fewer trains stopping at Coventry to speed up the connection between London and Birmingham,” he said, saying a well-connected Coventry had a "critical role" in job creation.

A cathedral receiving £870,000, the largest grant for repairs to mark the centenary of World War One, will use the money to reface a chapel.
Slates will be remounted at a Coventry Cathedral Chapel of Unity.
Overall, cathedrals in the UK will receive £14.5m to repair these "powerful symbols" of British history, the government has said.

New high tech devices fitted to council vehicles in Coventry have helped to save £10,000 a week in fraudulent insurance claims, the city council says.
Data gathered by the devices also advises on driving more efficiently, saving on fuel costs.

A UKIP leadership hopeful and West Midlands MEP is calling for hardline prison reform - and wants inmates to pay £40,000 a year for their stay.
Bill Etheridge is calling for a string of changes, although he admitted to BBC WM his proposal would only work if convicts had assets.
He has also admitted he has never been inside a jail.
Jails "would probably work for people like him," he said, despite comments last week that prisons should be about "punishment rather than rehabilitation".
Sir Philip Green and others who "got rich" from BHS have been blamed for the retailer's collapse in what MPs called the "unacceptable face of capitalism".
A damning MPs' report, external found Sir Philip, the billionaire former owner of BHS, which had stores across the West Midlands, extracted large sums and left the business on "life support".
Sir Philip's failure to resolve BHS's pension deficit was a major factor in the firm's demise, the report added.
