    BBC Coventry & Warwickshire

There's a call for services to be improved for babies with breastfeeding problems as a result of so-called tongue tie.

The condition, which restricts the tongue's movement, can be treated with a simple procedure.

Warwickshire mum Jenny Bevan, whose two daughters were born with tongue tie, feels midwives at hospital do not have "sufficient skills" to diagnose the problem.

The National Childbirth Trust says some families end up paying more than £100 for private treatment or switch from breastfeeding to the bottle.

  8. Boundary changes 'unfair' says Coventry MPpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

Proposals to redraw constituency boundaries are "unfair, undemocratic and unacceptable", according to Coventry MP Geoffrey Robinson.

Under Boundary Commission proposals, his seat of Coventry North West would be redrawn into a new "Coventry West and Meriden" constituency, taking in parts of Solihull.

He said the plans were "based on an out-of-date" version of the electoral register, with nearly two million voters missing.

    Quote Message

Constitutional changes should be done fairly and consensually, to ensure that everyone given a voice. That is not the case with these changes which are more about what is best for the Tory Party. These changes should not go ahead. We need to rethink and ensure that no elector loses out."

Geoffrey Robinson, Coventry North West MP

  9. Analysis: What boundary change proposals mean for Coventry and Warwickshirepublished at 13:24 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

    Shelley Phelps
BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, Political Reporter

Meriden is a solidly Conservative area, so that's likely to make a new Coventry West and Meriden seat less safe for Labour.

A split Warwick and Leamington seat could see the town of Warwick put together with Stratford-upon-Avon - which is on the other side of the M40.

Proposed boundary changes for West Midlands

The report recommends the political swing seat of Nuneaton increase in size demographically, taking in large parts of Rugby.

Some MPs I've spoken to sound far from happy, but MP for North Warwickshire, Craig Tracey, says it makes sense to bring two of the North Warwickshire Borough Council seats back into his constituency.
