  1. Drivers' calls to re-instate taxi rankpublished at 08:46 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2016

    BBC Coventry & Warwickshire

Taxi drivers in Coventry are calling on the council to re-instate a rank in the city centre, eight years after it was closed.

They want the area known as The Burges re-opened.

Drivers say they still use it, but because it's not an official rank, they're being fined if they're found there.

Cabbies will meet with the city council later to discuss the proposal.

When I heard Joseph's story something about the ordinariness of his life and the tragedy of this death many miles away just moved me to tears. When I met up with Bob we wanted to do something that felt like we were almost bringing Joseph home and the planting and dedication of this tree felt like the most appropriate way of doing this.
